The house was recently built (completed August 2015) and is located at the end of the village of Saint Jean de Laur and has a great view everywhere (up to 150km view). From the house you can walk straight into nature. Saint Jean de Laur is a nice village with about 250 inhabitants and 8 km from the river Lot.
In the well-fenced garden of 4400m2 you can enjoy the peace, quiet and the beautiful starry sky (for which Quercy is famous). There is plenty of garden furniture and a barbecue in the garden. Of course there is plenty of room to play football etc.
From the living room you can walk straight onto the terrace. A staircase - or for wheelchair users via the path next to the house - leads to the pool terrace. The heated swimming pool is 9m by 4m and a maximum depth of 1.75m. Both from the terrace at the house and the pool terrace and of course in the pool you can enjoy a phenomenal view.
The house has a spacious living room, large kitchen with a SMEG oven and all modern amenities, 3 spacious bedrooms, two bathrooms and two toilets and air conditioning everywhere. The house is very suitable for a group of 6 people and is completely on one level. There is a large garage underneath the house.
A review from one of our guests states: "For me as a wheelchair user, the extra space at the toilet and the high-low beds were really a nice asset (without it having a hospital look)."

All rooms can be reached through the central hall. There is a wood stove in the middle of the living room so that it can be heated in the spring and autumn. In the dining area there is a table (2.50m x 1.40m) where there is enough space for 8 people. From this area you can walk straight onto the terrace from where you can enjoy the beautiful views. The three bedrooms are very spacious and all have 2 meter beds. The master bedroom with a double bed has access to the terrace and an ensuite bathroom. The second bedroom has two single beds of 2 meters long that are adjustable in height so that even the older among us can easily get up. The third bedroom has two normal single beds of 2 meters long. In addition, there is an extra bed available for the little ones. Two high/low beds are available on request.
The bathroom has a walk-in shower and two sinks. And there are two separate toilets available.
Of course there is a cot (fold) and high chair for the little ones.
There is unlimited free WIFI (fiber optic) in the house.
