What a fantastic spot!
At your "Domaine les Drageonnières" you will find yourself in an oasis of peace. Early in the morning, many deer can look at you in surprise when you open the shutters. To the left of you the woods and to the right the vineyards with the magnificent view over the valley of the river Cher.
Located at the end of a quiet dead end asphalt road. Through an entrance gate you enter the Domaine (4.5 ha.) with two holiday homes (La Bergerie and La Freme), a barn, two large lawns with swings, a jeu de boules court, fruit trees and a beautifully situated, shared swimming pool (salt water, 12 x 5 m, depth 1.00 - 2.40 m) with sunbeds This little paradise is very suitable for, for example, two families going on holiday together, but you can also rent one of the two houses. We also rent out holiday home La Bergerie via Micazu.
If you can detach yourself from your terrain, you will see that the area is also definitely worth it. Montrichard (2 km) is located on the river Cher and has a cozy medieval town center where you can find restaurants, shops, tennis court, bicycle rental, beautiful half-timbered houses and one of the oldest castles in France with a fortress tower with a panoramic view of the town and the valley. If you follow the river in the direction of Tours (35 km), you will notice the rolling landscape. Some famous Loire castles a short distance away are Chenonceaux (10 km), Amboise (18 km), Cour-Cheverny (30 km) and beyond Tours the imposing Azay-le-Rideau (65 km). In Montrichard and Bourré (4 km) you can visit wine cellars in the underground passages excavated from Roman times for the tuff chalk, also known as pierre de bourré named. Nowadays these corridors are also used for mushroom cultivation and you can just pop in at a number of companies. Something other than a wine cellar for once? In some corridors you can even view houses! For a pleasant outing with the kids, there is the beautiful and famous zoo (Zoo Beauval) in St. Aignan (17 km) and for a lovely walk you can walk straight into the woods of Montrichard (100 m). 9 Hole golf course La Carte at Chaumont (15 min.). 18-hole golf course at Cheverny (30 km).
