Our house has a very large living room with cozy large fireplace, (wood is available for free), conservatory with sitting and dining area and terrace with dining table and sunny garden with various seating areas.
Located in the Parc Regional du Haut-Languedoc, which is known for its special nature.
Our south-facing conservatory is ideal for spring and autumn.
Here we have a lovely chill/coffee/reading/aperitif corner with free WIFI and a second dining table/puzzle table, overlooking the garden and pool and the many birds that live in the tall cypresses around the house.
The thick walls of the house make it nice and cool inside in the summer.
It really is a fantastic (and safe) place, more than 1700m², provided you like peace, space, nature and flowers and stars.
2 km from a supermarket and bakery.
We are the last house on a dead end road: so no traffic.
The river Orb flows in front of the house, tucked deep into the riverbed.
Here they fish, float in boats and dams built by the children.
Here you can sit in the river with a chair in the heat, under the trees.
Hiking trails also run along the river Orb.
Next to the house are vineyards and free nature. We tried to design the garden with the following idea behind it:
If your own garden is so close to the original nature of this area, the garden should be an extension, a natural transition to a slightly more cultivated area. We hope we have succeeded in that. Many Boxwood, Oleanders, Yuccas, Palms and Mimosas adorn the garden.
We always have many flowers in pots for the atmosphere. In the garden you can pick and eat figs all summer long. Delicious: figs on a baguette with a soft goat cheese from the oven! You can also get started with the almonds from the almond trees and in the fall: eat grapes!
Internet (WIFI/WLAN) (via fiber), is available free of charge , but you must provide your own Tablet, Smartphone or Laptop. We also have TV, new in 2024, via satellite, so that we can receive all Dutch channels.
There is an Intermarché at 2 km (you can also walk to it via a path along the river ORB) and the bakeries, doctor's office, pharmacy, bar in Bousquet d'Orb are 3 km away. In Bédariex at 8 km. is a 24-hour emergency "Les Tois Vallées".
The Mediterranean Sea is 50 km away.
