In our early thirties, we went back to visit friends in the south of France with our children. Fun times and memories led us to look for a house there. And one thing led to another... Eventually we found our dream house. Plans made and yes bought the house. Long journeys were not immediately possible with young children and so we spent all holidays in our second home, which we have furnished in a charming and child-friendly way, also for holidaymakers

Drive through the forest to La Roque-sur-Cèze, a medieval village where only residents are allowed to enter by car. Walk to the impressive waterfalls (Cascades du Sautadet) and relax on the rocky beaches.

Afterwards, visit the wine cellars in Saint-Gervais, and continue to Goudargues – the 'Venice of the Gard'. Here you can enjoy a meal by the water or take a kayak trip.

Then drive to Barjac, a town with an antique market.
