"Villa du Castel"
The view from this beautiful, tasteful "Villa Du Castel" is beautiful.
The spacious villa can accommodate up to six people. The villa is furnished with a sense of style and is fully equipped. The many windows allow a lot of light into the villa.
The covered terrace overlooks the lovely private swimming pool (8m x 4m) and the beautifully landscaped garden of 2200 m2 with oak trees. The garden offers almost complete privacy and shade.
The villa has a luxurious "provencale" traditional kitchen, equipped with all modern conveniences. From the kitchen you enter the terrace, with morning sun, from where you can enjoy the wide view over the medieval castle "Chateau du Montalet".
The villa has 3 bedrooms with double beds.
Because Meyrannes is so centrally located, many fun and interesting day trips are possible. For example: the Roman artist town of Uzès, which is known for the most beautiful market in the entire region. Here you can enjoy the atmospheric restaurants on the 'Place aux Herbes'. Montpellier, also called the Paris of the South, is easy to reach, known for its many cultural attractions, good restaurants, terraces and the shopping paradise of the South of France.
An hour's drive away you have the old Roman city of Nimes with, among other things, the well-preserved Arena and Roman park, beautiful art galleries. There is a subtropical swimming paradise, largely covered, Olympic swimming pool and a beautiful golf club; there is also a golf course in Uzès.
A visit to Avignon, with its historic city center and famous bridge, is also very worthwhile.
La Roque sur Cèze, Aiguèze, Anduze, Les Vans, Barjac (annual Brocante market in August): all very charming towns in the vicinity. Vallon Pont d'Arc and the Ardèche are only 30 km from the villa.
Saint Ambroix (5mn drive) is quite a small town; you can walk to the Tour Gisquet, the 18th century tower. In the town itself you can climb the small steep streets to La Chapelle de Dugas.
The weekly regional market (Tuesday morning), boulangerie, supermarkets, restaurants and terraces are just a 4 minute drive from Villa du Castel, in Saint Ambroix.
St Ambroix is located on the river Cèze in the Languedoc, the département de Gard, at the foot of the Cévennes, in the largest wine region in France. The location guarantees an oasis of peace with countless opportunities to enjoy the sun, nature, culture, sports and of course the French cuisine.
