Welcome to beautiful Barjac, an old medieval French village. Our gîte is located in the center of Barjac, where you will find many nice restaurants and small boutiques. You will stay in an old house dating from 1609, with an original bread oven. It is a wonderful combination of old and modern, and there is a quiet, cool terrace for the summer.
We want to offer you a warm and welcoming stay in a character house. The gîte is about 100 m² in size and has a spacious living room with fireplace, a beautiful kitchen with a large stove and 3 ovens. Downstairs you will also find a toilet and a washing machine. Upstairs you will find the bathroom with separate bath and shower and a bedroom with a double bed (160×200) and two single beds in the attic.
There is fast wifi and a 65-inch television with Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney and French and Dutch channels.
Various activities can be undertaken in the area. Visitors can discover the impressive artworks of German artist Anshelm Kiefer nearby. For nature and adventure lovers, canoeing on the Ardèche is a popular activity. It is also very nice to cycle or hike in the mountains. In addition, there are markets where local products and crafts are for sale. Old villages offer a charming atmosphere to explore historic streets and buildings. There is plenty to do for children, such as adventure parks, a visit to the rivers Cèze or the Ardèche, caves and Barjac also has a small playground. In short, there is something for everyone in the area!
