Nature and environment
The French Ardennes are a lot quieter compared to the Belgian Ardennes. The rolling landscape has mainly deciduous forests and in the old villages there are usually no terraces or chip shops to be found. Large cities are quite far away (Charleville-Mézières at 35 kilometers and Reims at 80 kilometers), so there is hardly any light pollution in the evening and the starry sky can be fantastic. The nature house is the place to go for real peace seekers, hikers and bird lovers. There is a lot to discover within an hour's drive from the cottage, suggestions and hiking maps are available in the house.
