Experience the peace and authentic French life in this small and very cozy gite for 2 persons. The gite is officially qualified by Creuse Tourisme with 3 stars for comfort and quality offered. The gite has been very carefully renovated to preserve the authentic look of this 200 year old bread oven.
The gite is of course equipped with the luxury of today, but the history of this old bread oven is still very well felt. The history of our "Four au Pain" goes back to the time when this oven was used throughout the village to provide the daily bread.

Despite the peace and quiet, there is still plenty to do.On our camping site, the children can romp, but you can also completely relax and cool off in the pool if it gets too hot. In our area, but also a little further in the Creuse, there are many swimming options. We have a swimming pool on site, but you can also visit the "Etang d'Herculat", the river Creuse, the "Aqualudique de la Loue" in Montlucon, the "Lac de Sidiailles", etc. There are many hiking and cycling routes. . You can go canoeing, fishing and visit museums and castles. Climb the "Puy de Dôme" where you can enjoy the beautiful view over the "Parc des Volcanes". In the summer there are many markets and flea markets every week. Great places that are worth a visit; Clermont Ferrand with the "black cathedral" and the old town, Aubusson with the "Tour de l'horloge" and the carpet museum. But also Boussac, Montlucon, Gueret are home to many gems that can be discovered. A drive to Guedelon is also very worthwhile. Here a castle is built in the medieval way with media and tools from the middle ages. You can experience the construction of the castle up close. There is a wolf park and the large "Labyrinth" near Geuret. Really something to get lost in. In the evenings we regularly light the campfire. Here you can enjoy a nice glass of wine, roast marshmallows and of course the enchanting starry sky.
