For those looking for peace, space and nature, this holiday home is the place to be!
In the town of Vesdun, 8 hours from the middle of the Netherlands, this house is located on a dead end road. The gite has its own large garden (half a hectare) and is separate from the large house, each has its complete privacy, garden and parking. There is a large fish pond at the end of the garden from which you have beautiful views over the rolling meadows. From the cottage you can walk straight into the beautiful unspoiled nature. There are countless walks to be made of which descriptions are present in the house. On very hot days , you can go to the large swimming lake of Sidiailles where there is a lot to do for all ages. (15 minutes by car).
In the evening you can enjoy the setting sun and the clear starry sky, only the sound of the crickets, birds and the occasional cow or church bell lets you know that time runs differently here.
The gite, a real 'Hansel and Gretel house' was completely renovated in 2015 while retaining authentic elements. It is about 150 m2 in size. Good WiFi connection. The sitting room, with wood stove, has a kitchen, fully equipped, for cooking. The bathroom and toilet downstairs, a spacious shower and sink. The first floor has two bedrooms, one with a double bed and 1 with 2 single beds that can also be pushed together.

The house is located on the border between the Cher, Indre and the Allier, nearby (15 min. by car) is the large lake of Sidiailles, where you can swim in the clear water or rent a boat... You can also take an exciting rope climb along and over the lake!
Small meadows surrounded by hedges, interspersed with many rivers and forests. The hills that turn into mountains a few kilometers further and even further into the Massif Central, where you can ski in 1.5 hours drive. The people are simple and friendly. Chateaumeillant (15 min. drive) has an Appelation for its wine region! For golf enthusiasts there is a beautifully maintained and quiet 18-hole course within a 20-minute drive.
The rural surroundings and unspoilt nature lend themselves to beautiful walks, bike rides or discover the area on the back of a horse!
Vesdun has a Romanesque church known for its beautiful frescoes from the 12th century. In the village there is a restaurant, and a shop where you can buy your freshly baked croissants, baguettes (to order) and other food and regional products every day during the morning hours. Near the house you can buy various seasonal vegetables from an organic farmer.
