Our house is located in the middle of the fields and the woods. The nearest inhabited house is 800 meters away. Absolute peace !
The house is a former farmhouse, which has been renovated and which now houses our house, a gîte (holiday home) and a chambre d'hôtes (B&B). The chambre d'hôtes was built on the former hayloft. We have a number of authentic elements to preserve, namely the natural stone wall and the beam construction in the ceiling. For the rest, only contemporary comfort. From the chambre d'hôtes you have a nice view of the garden and meadow. Around the house a park-like garden with swimming pool and jacuzzi, and around it our meadow with the alpacas and the cozy Ouessant sheep. The swimming pool is available from about May until the autumn. We heat the pool by means of solar panels. The jacuzzi (adults only) is at operating temperature all year round! A jeu-de-boules court, a firepit, a gas BBQ and all kinds of children's toys ensure that you will not be bored.
Outside our domain a walking and cycling world from the gate. Walking routes and cycling routes are available. Several nice towns in the immediate vicinity (think of the wine town of Sancerre) but also various small and larger towns (including la Charité-sur-Loire; Nevers and Bourges).
At our chambre d'hôtes and gîte, our guests can also use 'table d'hôtes' if desired. You can then join us at the table, possibly together with other guests. We offer a 4-course meal with wine and coffee/tea after, at a cost of €35 per adult. Adjusted rates apply for children, depending on age. Table d'hôtes is a maximum of 3 times a week, in consultation. If you would like to make use of this, please let us know at least 2 days in advance.
