The house (Het Atelier)
Cozy and characteristic cottage with stunning views over the Rhône valley and 25 minutes from Valence. The house has recently been completely restored, completely renovated on the inside and is part of a farm complex, Les Bergerons, on approximately 30 hectares of alternating, private grounds with meadows and chestnut forests. The site is at an altitude of more than 500 meters with differences in altitude of more than 100 meters. The buildings date from about 1100 - 1650 AD. The complex is free in nature (fields and forests) and neighbors can not be seen. A small country road leads to it. Besides the Atelier, the house next door (Huis Elise) is also rented out. There is a pool of 5 x 10 meters with a large terrace (covered and uncovered) that can be used. This has been deposited according to French safety standards. Ideal is of course to go on holiday with family or friends and rent both houses. Then there is of course more fun and privacy around the pool.
The front of the house and the swimming pool give a view of the Balcon du Rhône, the Vercors and in clear weather the Alps. We, the Dutch owners, bought the other buildings / houses of the complex to keep the peace, to keep it together and to restore it and thus to maintain the history.
Nature, light, air, space, peace and view are the key words for this house.
The living area of ??the house is 110 m2. Entry into a large cozy kitchen of about 37 m2 with large whitish granite countertops, gas stove with 5 burners, very large gas oven with electric grill, dishwasher, microwave, large fridge with freezer. Two dining tables and 6 chairs.
From the kitchen you can go down a flight of steps down to the master bedroom (19 m2) with two beds (90x200) next to each other and a large wardrobe. The room has double doors to the outside. Next to the bedroom is a private bathroom.
In the kitchen there is an open staircase upstairs to a second (small) bedroom (over 6 m2) with two beds (90x200 cm), placed crosswise with a private bathroom.
From the kitchen you come through double doors to a hallway to the sitting room of 34 m2 with coffee table with 4 armchairs, a high table with 4 chairs (eg for games), and a 2 p. sofa bed. The sitting room has 2 Velux windows and opening window / doors with views over the valley.
