A beautifully situated farmhouse, located in perhaps the most beautiful and original part of Tuscany, surrounded by nature and in a breathtaking setting.
The structure of Podere di Maggio consists of 5 buildings; The main house, a second house, a third smaller house and a large building of 190 m² with a hall for activities, 2 bathrooms and a laboratory. In addition, there is a kitchen for the tents with an area of 25 m².
Spread over the site there are 4 large wooden terraces for glamping tents. There is a permit for 8 other tents or mobile homes with a floor area of up to 80 m² each. In addition, there are 2 ruins with a combined area of 40 m², which can be used for the construction of a new building or for an extension of an existing building.
The total area of the buildings is approx. 900 m², of which 850 m² has been completely renovated between 2005 and 2015.
The renovations have been carried out with sustainable materials and with a lot of love and attention to detail.
Podere di Maggio has a 60 m² swimming pool with a natural cleaning system.
Furthermore, the structure is equipped with solar panels (6 kW) for the generation of electricity, solar panels for hot water and a source of clean drinking water.
On the 28-hectare site, there are about 400 olive trees in production (about 700 lt of olive oil per year), in addition to 350 sweet chestnut trees, about 10 hectares of forest and many fruit trees of old varieties.
On Monte Amiata (20 minutes from here) you can ski in winter and the various hot springs such as Saturnia and Bagni San Filippo are half an hour away. The sea with beautiful beaches is an hour away.
The beautiful cities of Siena, Perugia and Orvieto can be reached in about an hour and the airports of Pisa and Rome are 2.5 hours away.
