The Crypt of Ronse is unique in Belgium and typical of Roman-Gothic architecture, serving as a repository for relics of Saint Hermes. pattern of the nervous and mentally ill. In the Middle Ages, Ronse was an important religious center. Bedowners came from far and wide to ask for help and healing. Saint Hermes is pictured as a Roman officer on his horse. Above the shrine of Saint Hermes church is its life-sized equestrian statue. The crypt is a unique piece of architectural unity. The 11th-century building has 32 columns, has beautiful natural stone walls, a hidden grave room and a water well with bathrooms for the sick visitors.
KEUN is a microbrewery from Ronse, in the heart of the Flemish Ardennes. Here, Gert Keunen develops his recipes and brews, in peace and with a lot of dedication. Different malts, different hops and yeast, the dosage of the herbs: everything is tested and tasted until the result is perfect. Rich in taste, balanced and surprising. KEUN is a very small-scale, artisanal brewery, officially recognized since April 2016. Here 200 liters are brewed twice a month: in addition to the fixed beers, also beers in limited edition, special editions and one-off experiments. The brewery also has its own hop field, with eleven different varieties (British, German, American, but also rare Belgian), which is largely brewed with hop from their own culture. KEUN Tripel Saison, KEUN Strong Brown and KEUN Kleinbier are the basic beers of the brewery and always available at different sales points. For this purpose, the brewery De Graal is moved to neighboring Brakel. He has everything he needs to brew this quality product on a larger scale. Already in 2014 the first 'Keuntje' flowed out of the brewing kettles. All other brews are brewed exclusively in our own brewery: KEUN Spéciale Goud and KEUN Café Noir are part of the regular assortment; KEUN Fresh Hop Blond, KEUN Oaked Brown and KEUN Juniper Blond are brewed only once a year.
