In the Belgian Ardennes lies the picturesque village of Saint-Médard, a borough of Herbeumont. Middle of the village, opposite the church, you will find Le Gite Saint-Médard. The house was fully renovated and isolated and transformed into a cozy and comfortable holiday.

Everything is geared to kick back and relax, together with family and friends:

Explanation of the prices & cancellation policy

Attention: normal weekend is from Friday evening 6 pm to Sunday evening (2 nights).
Mid-week: from Monday noon 1 pm to Friday noon 1 pm.
Week: from Friday evening 6 pm to Friday noon 1 pm (possibly from Monday noon 1 pm to Sunday evening)

Special weekends:

All rates include VAT.

The rates include water consumption and 1 garbage bag per week. Wood for the fireplace and charcoal for the BBQ must be provided by yourself.
Fuel oil consumption is measured separately and then settled at 0.9 €/litre.
Electricity consumption is measured separately and then settled at 0.7 €/kWh.
Bath and bed linen must be provided by yourself.

Saint-Médard is in a quiet and wooded area with beautiful, kilometer-long hiking trails. In autumn and winter you will definitely find traces of foxes, wild boar and deer. If you insist on pulling out at nightfall, chances are that you will get them to actually see it.

In spring and summer you can also use your bike or mountain bike trail through the woods and meadows. Do you have strong legs, you cycle along undulating roads with stunning views to one of the many villages or nearby attractions. Do you love water and coolness, then the meandering Semois nearby. In every corner unfolds a new landscape. Rent a kayak to sail Semois or enjoy an undisturbed BBQ on one of the many picnic areas along the banks. And do not forget. Swimsuit

The Belgian Ardennes are known for their culinary tradition and (honest regional products. Also near Le Gîte Saint-Médard you will find several nice eateries, from bistrot du terroir to gastronomic restaurant.
Do you want good food but do not drive too far. Or even more: do you want a nice meal delivered to your home. Then you can go to the following nice restaurants or catering service nearby, with an excellent price-quality ratio:
- Tavern Aux Petits Bouchons in Herbeumont, where the innkeeper also does his best in Dutch and you can enjoy home-made dishes every day "à la carte ”or a tasty dish of the day with a glass of Orval or other local beer
- Auberge des Scailtons on the Grande Place in Herbeumont, is run by 2 brothers. In the game season you can taste roebok and wild boar with cranberries among the hunters, but at very democratic prices
- Le Relais des Oliviers in the center of Florenville, where you can order both simple pizzas and delicious lobster
