A QUIET STAY FOR TWO, A FAMILY HOLIDAY WITH CHILDREN OR A FRIENDLY GET-TOGETHER WITH FRIENDS, THE CHALET IS IDEAL FOR IT! Here you can relax, take beautiful walks and bike rides in the vast, Ardennes nature and still stay in the vicinity of the many gastronomic addresses in picturesque Durbuy! It is also the perfect base to explore the Belgian Ardennes!
Our holiday home, located on the small-scale forest park "Sunclass" in Durbuy, is located on the outside of the park with a beautiful view of the forest and the valley, so that tranquility is guaranteed!
The chalet is located at 2 km walking distance from Durbuy, which is considered the smallest city in the world! A picturesque footpath along the river Ourthe, which starts near the chalet, takes you to the lively and historic center (25 minutes walk). There are also about 25 signposted circular walking routes of Durbuy and its suburbs in my walking book.
Renting a bike (VTT, E-bike and electric city bike) is possible at "Adventure Valley" at 1 km from the chalet (Adventure Valley is the largest adventure park in Belgium).
Those who wish can enjoy the heated indoor swimming pool and various sports facilities (a tennis and basketball court, table tennis tables, a pit pat, a petanque court and 2 playgrounds for children) within "Sunclass". There's also a brasserie in the park with delicious, budget-friendly dishes, a vending machine with soft drinks/snacks, a shop rack (in reception) with essentials and a launderette.
Our warm, attractive chalet offers sleeping space for 4 people and possibly a baby. On the first floor there are two full bedrooms. The bedroom at the rear of the cottage has a large double bed (160x200), the front bedroom has two single beds (90x200). The beds have very good mattresses with recently renewed toppers of top quality! The windows are equipped with a mosquito net so that, during warm summer nights, Sleeping well with the windows open and waking up to the chirping of the birds!
Maison Tronchiennes is equipped with every comfort including a cozy built-in gas fireplace, TV, free WIFI, a well-equipped kitchen (with dishwasher) and a bathroom with a rain shower. The terrace, which is equipped with a teak garden furniture, garden bench and parasol, is a wonderful place to relax and in the forest there is an extra spot with 2 sun loungers. There is also a hammock. Parking your car is possible next to the chalet, even a 2nd car is possible.

* 🧡CHRISTMAS MARKET DURBUY WITH LARGE INDOOR SKATING RINK:🧡 FROM 21 November 2025 to 5 January 2026 (from 21 November only Fri, Sat & Sun; from 18 December every day). The entire city is immersed in a fairytale atmosphere, truly beautiful to see!!
* arrival is not possible on December 25 and January 1; Departure is.

* The deposit (150€) will be fully refunded within 7 days of departure if the departure instructions are followed and in case of no damage. The departure instructions, together with all information regarding your stay, tourist information and culinary addresses, will be emailed 30 days before arrival.
* If desired, you can rent bath towels (€6) and/or kitchen towels (€5) at the reception.
* For the youngest among us there is a fold-out cot (0 to 2 years), high chair and children's tableware. :-)
* Due to the favorable location in the forest, it always stays nice and fresh in the chalet during hot summer days. (keep the windows and curtains closed in the bedrooms during the day)
* There is a breakfast service nearby (self-collection or delivery on site is possible).
* The cottage is located in a forest. Due to the risk of fire, it is NOT allowed to barbecue, but there is a barbecue area in the park. A barbecue grill can be rented at the reception.
* Charging an electric/hybrid car at the chalet is NOT allowed.
Possibility to charge your electric car at the entrance of the park (also fast chargers).
* Late check-out is sometimes possible on request (only on Sundays, surcharge).
