1. Cancellation by tenant
Any cancellation by the tenant must be reported to the landlord by email. The Landlord will then charge the following amounts, depending on the remaining period between cancellation and the start of the rental period:
– cancellation more than 90 days before the start of the rental period: 100 euros administration costs
– cancellation between the 90th and the 60th day before the start of the rental period: 25% of the rent, excluding the deposit, with a minimum of 100 euros
– cancellation between the 59th and the 15th day before the start of the rental period: 50% of the rent, excluding the deposit, with a minimum of 200 euros
– cancellation less than 15 days before the start of the rental period: 100% of the rent, excluding the deposit.
If the tenant does not use the holiday home or leaves it before the end of the rental period, no compensation will be made and the tenant will continue to owe the landlord the total sum of the confirmation invoice. The tenant can rebook an existing reservation in the future once for free, i.e. without administrative costs. Afterwards, a cost of 50 € per rebooking applies.
2. Cancellation by the landlord
If due to unforeseen circumstances the landlord has to cancel the rent and unilaterally dissolves the rental agreement, the tenant will be informed immediately by email and payments made by the tenant will be refunded to the tenant within 7 days. If the cancellation of the rental agreement by the landlord is not the result of force majeure, the landlord will also pay an additional amount of 20% of the rent (excluding deposit) to the tenant, being the usual compensation for damage and inconvenience.
