There are times when the snow has to be cut from the roof…
The Soca valley (almost 2 hours drive from Villa Sonnata) is one of the most beautiful regions of Slovenia where there is also a lot to do. The world famous Soca River meanders through a beautiful green landscape.
Lago di Braies (Pragser Wildsee) 1:45 drive Getting up early to watch the sunrise here is highly recommended. You see the first rays of the sun shine on the mountain tops and the birds begin to chirp happily. There's something magical about the orange glow of the sun.

We like to go to Italy for a day, via the Plocken Pass, to buy wine directly from the winegrower in the Friuli wine region and take it home.
