PLEASE NOTE: NO ADDITIONAL COSTS: The rental amount includes bed linen, towels, internet and electricity. That quickly saves €100 to €150 compared to many other accommodations. Only if you charge your electric car with us, you pay separately (€0.75 per kWh, max. €150). We offer this service mainly as extra security on the road, not as a fixed charging point.

THE APARTMENT:

On the first floor of our house, at the foot of the beautiful Nock Mountains, we rent out a bright and spacious apartment that was renovated in 2022 of 60 m² with sunny balconies on the side and back. Here you can enjoy the sun all day long – and on beautiful winter days even with a jacket on!

Our house is centrally located between three hiking and skiing areas, each about a 30-minute drive away:

WINTER IN CARINTHIA

• Goldeck – modern and versatile
• Bad Kleinkirchheim – top area with thermal baths
• Gerlitzen – ideal for families
• A little further but worth it:  ski resort Katschberg (45 minutes, toll road).
• Many Christmas markets and Advent celebrations from December 1

SUMMER IN CARINTHIA! 

• Countless outings with the Kärnten Card... (see the (*CONTENT HIDDEN*))
• In the summer you can get on your bike in no time, because the Drauradweg is almost on the doorstep.
• Within 15 to 25 minutes you are at the Millstätter See or the Ossiacher See for swimming, boating or terraces.
• A beautiful walking route for advanced skiers starts right behind our house. But you can also take small walks of an hour. We are happy to show you the way.
• There are plenty of challenging mountain tours of 4–6 hours in the area with 800 metres of elevation gain (good condition and footwear required)
• Short, flat walks with scenic views from the front door
• Peaceful walks along the Drau River
• The Weissensee, famous among Dutch skating enthusiasts, is 40 minutes away via a beautiful route.

Extra tip: Italy and Slovenia are only half an hour's drive away – perfect for a day trip.

Accessibility and facilities:

• Small Village Shop/Genussplatzl for a delicious breakfast/drink/coffee moment or daily purchases such as vegetables, bread, spreads, soft drinks, wine, beer, chips, ice creams  and other conceivable basic necessities: Genuss Platzl Weissentein (2 minutes by car, 15 minutes walk) 
• Supermarkets at 5 minutes by car (Billa, Lidl, Spar in Feistritz)
• Larger shopping opportunities in Spittal or Villach (20 minutes by car)
• Restaurants 5 km away, 5 minutes by car 
• Most choice of restaurants in summer  in Döbriach am Millstätter See: 15 minutes by car. There are also beaches here and there is a lot to do in the summer.
• Neighborhood guesthouse/terrace with options for takeaway or eating from a Jausseplatte, for example: 1 minute by car or 10 minutes walk. Here you are really with the locals. Or with us...

Our house is located in a quiet, cul-de-sac with only local traffic

IMPORTANT:

Our apartment is located in the Drautal Valley, 200 meters from a railway line. Thanks to good insulation, you hear little inside, but those who are a very light sleeper and want to sleep with the window open would like to know.

We live downstairs with our sweet, but enthusiastic Golden Retriever Buddy. He barks on arrival or departure, usually only briefly. During your stay, he will not come into the apartment. If you find this disturbing, then our place is probably not suitable.
