Beautiful, spacious, rural holiday home with a nice interior, beautiful swimming pool. Equipped with every comfort. We enjoyed the peace and quiet. Very smooth communication with the owner. Highly recommended!

Our hiking holiday in Austria was cancelled due to persistent bad weather. What should I do?
When we found Le Sequioa on Micazu we quickly made up our minds, off to France and the sun.

What a good decision that was! We had a wonderful week, go-karting on the circuit at La Genetouze, canoeing in Aubeterre, drinking beers on the cozy terrace.

What a wonderful week we had in Le Sequioa. It was a relief to be in the middle of nature, pitch dark at night and not to hear anything, I haven't slept so well in ages!
The house was fully equipped and nice and spacious. We spent many hours on the couch in front of the wood stove and prepared delicious meals in the kitchen.

The contact with Elise was very nice, especially all the tips and extra information we received in advance we experienced as very pleasant.

All in all, an absolute must, whether you come as a couple, with friends or as a family, you will have a wonderful time here. We are already looking forward to our next visit!

We were there with our children aged 9, 7 and 3 and they had a lot of fun in the pool. The area offers many opportunities for activities and there are many beautiful sights.

Practical, nice and cozy house in a beautiful location. Chalais is a very nice village with a beautiful castle to visit. The domain is very child-friendly, a wonderful place to be outside all day.

A nice quiet place where you can relax from a busy life. Unfortunately, the weather did not really cooperate at the beginning of March and it was comfortable inside with the fireplace on.

Contact with the owner was excellent: on the way you received app messages with travel instructions.
We were welcomed in the evening by Charles with baguette, wine, crackers and sweets.
We have made many trips: Les jardins du Chaigne in Touzac where we have continued to work with the retired owners.
Markt Chalais 1st Monday of the month, Les jardins du Coq in Montignac-le-Coq,
Chateau in Chalais with great tour from Jean-Louis, Chateau des Plassons in Bors (cognac distillery with private
guided tour and tasting Pineau des Charentes), Opera Concert Eglise Saint-Martial Chalais, Monolithic Church Aubeterre-sur-Dronne,
Walk around lakes of Touvérac, Angoulême, Château de la Rochandry in Mouthiers-sur-Boëme (was closed) and Barbezieux-Saint-Hilaire.

Lovely gite with garden, swimming pool, wood stove and a very well equipped kitchen on a quiet site. The house was very clean and welcoming, and on a bad rainy day lovely and cosy. We enjoyed walking the short distance to the local shops and other amenities. There are beautiful towns in the Charente, and other local regions, within driving distance and we especially enjoyed our trip to St Emillion. If you are a wine lover then Chalais is a good base to start from! The host Elise was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be booking another visit to La Sequioa again.
