House is in a beautiful (hiking) area with a beautiful view, especially the sunsets.
Great beds, in which it is good to rest after a brisk walk. The silence at night is a breath of fresh air compared to the Netherlands. The deer regularly visit the adjacent grassland.
Looks a bit messy inside, but, as written before, it's a DIY house.

What a great holiday we had in Le Papillon. Everything you could possibly need is there. Lots of space, good beds and a very nice and large garden where our dogs could run and play.

What a great holiday we had in Le Papillon. Everything you could possibly need is there. Lots of space, good beds and a very nice and large garden where our dogs could run and play.
House is in a super nice place with fantastic views. From the house you can start very nice walks and the cycle path is close by and well maintained. We cycled and ran in both directions and that was also enjoyable. The supermarkets (including Lidl, Intermarché and Aldi) are a short distance from the house. On our 1st day we spotted 2 deer directly above the house and a day later a fox and squirrels.
For fanatic cyclists and mountain bikers it is also great here. So many routes to ride and mountains to climb.
There is certainly still a lot to do in and around the house, but we have not been bothered by it for a second. You won't be "bothered" by it. It's a big house so of course there's always something to do.
In any case, after two weeks we were not done discovering everything here and so we would like to come back again.

There is a very busy road in the valley, you hear traffic noise all day long. There is also a lot of work to be done to the house to be suitable for 8 people, the ground floor is really not in order.

We were 2 so you only use a limited part of the house. it is good to stay there with a beautiful and quiet environment. Sufficient information about walks and tochtjes.in September it can be chilly in the evening.

The house is large and it was a bit of a puzzle what the best choice was for bedroom. So many rooms and entrances/exits. A huge garden with plenty of chairs. Kitchen is dated and not really spacious. We did not use the dishwash...

We did not use the dishwasher because we always cooked upstairs. On the living floor bathroom, toilet and bedroom was very handy. Nice and big house with animals in the garden that don't belong there. We haven't seen them but I think there are badgers.
