Dear Veerman family,
We were indeed very sorry that our apartment Lavanda did not fit your expectations and wishes at all and of course really sad to see how Mrs. Veerman visibly had a lot of sadness after the first night when she told us that she actually did not want to continue living in this holiday apartment.
Unfortunately, we could not offer the lady an alternative apartment either. We were fully booked. However, we have offered you a number of alternative seating areas with beautiful views.
After more than 10 years of rental, we were surprised when we also heard that you thought our Borgo was far too busy a place.
Also on our website with video and photos you can clearly see that we offer 13 apartments in 2 large houses. For years, this has meant a pleasant group of adults and children every summer and also with many returning guests.
We understood that for Mrs. Veerman, the location and layout of Lavanda was an extra downer.
Lavanda is located in a historic building, is spacious and cool and the cozy and also rather authentic interior was experienced as depressing by the lady instead of cozy and cozy. Of course, everyone has the right to their own experience and interpretation of what is there.
The references of previous guests on both Zoover and Tripadvisor have been positive so far and we are quite proud of that.
We even have returning guests who have booked this apartment 3 times. They had also experienced the seating/covered terrace in the former watchtower of Montefortino (from ca. 1100) as romantic.
On our Borgo, where some apartments use a central entrance and the seating areas are not shielded, visual contact with the neighbors is not always avoidable.
Our advice to your family Veerman and also to future guests who prefer to have a lot of private life is: book a detached house really for yourself then such negative experiences may be excluded in advance.
