Very nice comfortable house, spacious and furnished with robust materials in an atmosphere that fits in with the environment. Beautiful location at 850 meters. You can feel this: it is 4 to 5 degrees cooler than in the valley. The atmosphere is green, wooded, quiet. You occasionally hear a car on the road, no one else around. The area is a mecca for walkers and cyclists. There is something for everyone within driving distance, such as the truly beautiful (easy) walk from St Sauveur en Diois, or the Col de la Baume from La Chaudière. From the house you are immediately active in sports. The house is located on the Col de la Chaudière (3.5 km below the top), so with the road bike you immediately have a nice climb and/or descent (and then climb.. ). There are also a lot of options for mountain biking. And of course the impressive 'Les trois Becs' for the experienced hiker.
We were surprised by the new swimming pool, which can now also be seen in the photos: very nice, wonderfully heated with a view of the huge rock formation and to the valley. Furthermore, a fun and interesting orientation walk has been made on the grounds. This is how we ended up at the great swing bench, from which you look out over the valley on the other side. Also very soothing was the constant gentle rippling of water from the fountain that supplies the old washhouse of this former farmhouse. A lovely place and a week was actually too short.
