We recently had a fantastic holiday here. It starts with a very pleasant welcome by Natasja and Eric (kudos!), after which we can immerse ourselves in our own private pool. This is also beautifully lit at night. The terrace is spacious (be careful when walking if the tiles are wet) and there is always some shade to be found. The house offers everything and is very complete. The (beautiful) nearby beach is a bit too far to walk. How nice are the bicycles (only suitable for such short distances) to be able to use them, just like for local groceries (supermarkets nearby). If you want a relaxing, luxurious holiday and are tired of the campsites, we can heartily recommend it. We don't want anything else with that kind of privacy. The seaside resort of Empuriabrava itself is cozy and quite busy in high season. The Dutch owners provide the right anticipation in advance by sending tips by e-mail. There is a chance that we will book this again and that is all there is to it.

In July/August 2018 we stayed in this fantastic house for 2 weeks. We were received more than friendly and everything was ready on arrival. The beds were made and a welcome pack was in the fridge.
The house is fully equipped so you lack nothing. There are plenty of board games available as well as numerous Dutch books.
The porch and garden are fantastic and there is plenty of opportunity to sit, both in the shade and in the sun.
We enjoyed it to the fullest and will definitely come back. A critical note: I think €150 for the final cleaning is actually an outrageous amount, which unfortunately you can't ignore and you are therefore obliged to pay.

Casa La Muga..... What a paradise on earth!
Last week we were able to stay in the beautiful house of Wilke and Mark. The house is super fully furnished with everything you need. We stayed there with 2 adults and later in the week with our youth (19-21yrs) who flew over. They also had a great time with all the facilities inside and outside. Played many games (plenty of choice with all the games in the house) and enjoyed the lovely swimming pool (which in my opinion -given the plot- could have been a small size larger if you stay with 6 people). By the way, the swimming pool is "by night" a picture!! (See photos)
The location of the veranda is the icing on the cake. A lovely place where we spent many nice hours. The garden house is a nice addition and place for guests. Very hot in the middle of summer, but luckily there are fans everywhere.
Sanitary facilities and kitchen perfectly clean and complete. Both nespresso machine and regular coffee maker available. Large fridge and freezer. Good working air conditioning in the living room.
We made a lot of use of the bikes that were ready, because that is the only disadvantage of the location; There is not much to do within walking distance. To get to the lively part or beach of Empuriabrava you really need the bike or car. However, you do walk opposite the house into a beautiful nature reserve which is nice for walking or cycling.
The only point of improvement we would like to mention is the water pressure of the shower. We found this very mediocre and couldn't really call it a "nice shower" (especially if long hair has to be washed;-).
We would also like to compliment the contact person on site, Natasja, who always responds immediately and correctly to questions and helped us super when we needed medical help.
In short; a TOP holiday in a lovely spot in the Spanish sun!

We celebrated our autumn holiday with 4 adults and 1 child in this fine holiday home. The location of the house is perfect for making many trips. Places such as Figueres, Cadaques and Castello Empúries, with all its antiquities and art, are well worth a visit and close by. We also found Barcelona very doable at 150 km drive and spent a fantastic day there. By the way, the area is easy to explore by bike, both sporty (MTB/road bike) and by tour bike. You can also go for a walk since you only have to cross a footbridge from the house and are immediately in the nature park or via the footpath to the beach. In short, we experienced the house itself as fantastic. Nice as an extra for our son was the PlayStation😀. Furthermore, it is really fully equipped. Beds were good, terrace is lovely and not unimportant it was neat and clean.

In short, highly recommended for both a beach and a holiday.

Very nice and comfortable holiday house close to the beach. We have been in September, pool was very cold therefore (pool heater would be ideal). We had added air conditioning, but didn't really need it. Nice spacious, large terrace with good bbq. Opposite a park and playground, during our 2 week stay we were not bothered at all. The only thing we noticed is when the wind is unfavorable that you can smell the water purification on the other side of the river. Had road bike with me and from the house you can easily cycle towards the hills on quiet roads, ideal.

We had a great holiday with our small children. Because there were DVDs and a PlayStation available, we could also relax in the evening since our children are in bed on time. Walking distance to the shops and across the street ...

Together with my family I had a great holiday in the cottage. Everything was fine. The cottage was delivered very clean and tidy. Furthermore, the cottage is nicely decorated with matching furniture. The area of the cottage was larger than we expected based on the photos. The pool is changed about 2 times a week and therefore the water remains nice and clear and hygienic. We made a lot of nice trips in the area. It was occasionally useful to use the bike, unfortunately it was not present in the accommodation so it is definitely recommended to bring one or a few yourself. The area is very nice for walking or cycling. The beach is at least fifteen minutes to 20min. walk. If you want to take a lot of stuff to the beach, such as a cooler or an inflatable boat, then I would recommend going by car. However, you have to take into account that it is not possible to park directly on the beach (in the high season) so assume that you still have 5 minutes. should definitely run. Nice things to do in the area are, for example, the butterfly park (the butterflypark) - here they also have birds and the like! What the kids also really liked was aquabrava! You have to take into account that you are not allowed to bring food with you, but there are plenty of food, drinks and ice cream stalls in the park. The chalet was very attractive and nicely decorated. The fan did its best to keep it cool and it generally worked. In times when it is very hot, I can imagine that it is still very stuffy at night, so I recommend that you bring your own fan. All in all, it was a great stay and we all enjoyed it to the fullest. Definitely recommended for both people who want a quiet holiday and for people who like to do things.
