What was super nice was that the landlord Koos came to pick us up from the airport himself and also brought us back. A very pleasant and friendly man who helped us perfectly with the choices of what we should definitely do and see in Suriname. The apartment and other amenities are super clean and the air conditioning works perfectly.

Villa Nieuw Amsterdam is a wonderful stay.

It is now 1 week that we are back in the Netherlands, Rotterdam. Only now can I (on behalf of Fenny and me) put into words what I have experienced with you in the past 2 weeks. A well-deserved 10+
On the one hand, the beautiful beautiful colorful nature that is located in the backyard of Villa Nieuw Amsterdam. On the other hand, the Surinamese hospitality and resignation, combined with the down-to-earth Bakra... Koos has made our stay very nice and special down to the last detail.
The floor in the beautiful villa with terrace, hammock, large clean swimming pool, shops nearby and beautiful outings, not to mention the monkeys, diving iguanas, sabakoes etc., etc. etc., make you become one with nature. It really lacks nothing in the beautiful clean spacious villa and is fully equipped. If you could write yourself into a movie, then this would be a more than suitable location. This apartment can even be seen on TV in a commercial, hahahaha!
I prefer to talk about the overall atmosphere that prevails in Villa Nieuw Amsterdam. It starts at the gate, when you say you're coming for Koos.... A smile immediately appears on the watchman's face and the barrier goes up irrevocably, hahahaha. Afterwards you will arrive in an oasis of peace as you drive through the palm villa.
It really is like coming home, feeling familiar, old-fashioned familiar!
Partly due to the presence of the workers around the villa, we became more and more aware of the Suriname way of Living. Suriname embraces you and gives you Peace. By making contact with these guys, you get to know the real Suriname. Not the 1 in 30 styling, hahaha. We really enjoyed the 2 beautiful weeks we were able to spend and celebrated a beautiful hospitable birthday of Fenny
We have been very moved that we got to know Koos and his crew, and we can only say that we have a few new Stankos in Su, For Life!

First of all, I want to start with a pity that you can only give 10 as a number because everything is worth a 100! What a great beautiful holiday we had thanks to the house that rented villa new Amsterdam! Oh wow, this was great, the area, location, everything was top notch, in a word, fantastic!!!! Clean, beautiful house with everything a house needs, plus an honest, large CLEAN POOL, we want to put koos in the spotlight, who have made our holiday more wonderful than great, he is sweet, friendly, thoughtful, we think we have friend for life! And we will definitely come back here and then again at new villa Amsterdam at koos! You got a place in our hearts, so sweet and good, you were to us, we never forget that, we never chose again, thank you for all the explanation, goodness, guest, freedom and so on. The family also told us that new Amsterdam was too far away from Paramaribo, it was a bit farther indeed, but what have we been that we did not choose a house in Paramaribo but really for new villa Amsterdam. This is a holiday we will never forget, dear koos, thank you for the holiday of a lifetime, you are a wonderful good person!!!

Koos thank you for the beautiful experience I was able to have to discover Suriname, partly thanks to you and the villa.
Beautiful location, wonderful to unwind. Swimming pool to cool off. Nature of Suriname passes you by every day. Commewijne is a beautiful province to stay, with the culture (including the plantations), the nature (including Peperpot), but also to get to know Suriname with the open-hearted and open people who live there. Paramaribo is easy to reach by scooter or car. And plenty of shops, eateries and supermarkets nearby.
I had 3 wonderful weeks, partly due to the beautiful location of the villa.

It's a fantastic location, it's cool in the backyard. Very friendly host. It is highly recommended. We will definitely stay here again next time.

Had a nice holiday, wonderful to come back to Koos after a day in busy Paramaribo. Around the house a beautiful garden with many animals and a lovely swimming pool for a refreshing dip.

It was a very nice holiday and I would choose Villa Amsterdam again when I go to Suriname again.
Koos is very helpful and is happy to help you on your way if you have a question. The Villa is located in a quiet area and the Supermarket is around the corner.
It is very nice to be able to cool off in the pool or to enjoy the hammock.

Suriname is a beautiful country and the Surinamese are great people who love to tell you about this.
When you are there, you should definitely look inland and/or see other sights.
There is plenty to see and experience!
