La Charrue is a beautifully renovated, cosily furnished, warm gîte. It was below 10 degrees in February and rainy, so we played games inside and stoked the stove. Our children aged 5 and 7 preferred to stay 'at home' rather than 'go somewhere'.
Due to the weather, we couldn't really enjoy the beautiful surroundings (in the bush behind the house there is a huge badger castle!), but we went out regularly: Vannes, Carnac, Saint Brieuc. All about 1 1/4 hours away. That's just a bit far for children. In winter, locations such as castles and abbeys (even restaurants) are closed.
Jeanin is a very friendly hostess and did her best to solve any problems as best she could. Thank you very much for a very nice stay!
