We enjoyed two wonderful weeks in this lovely gite. It lacks nothing, and it is a cozy and comfortable cottage, with incredibly hospitable owners. For sights you have to get in the car, but we didn't find that a problem at all....

We enjoyed two wonderful weeks in this lovely gite. It lacks nothing, and it is a cozy and comfortable cottage, with incredibly hospitable owners. For sights you have to get in the car, but we didn't find that a problem at all. For our children (3 and 5) the highlights were: Poes Droppie (number 1!), the beautiful forest Foret de Huelgoat, the nice open-air museum Poul-Fetan (a lot of participation, making and tasting), and Lac de Guerledan for swimming. And in addition, the large garden is fantastic for playing, swimming and jumping on the trampoline and enjoying a drink. As the text on the key said: "chez moi c'est chez toi", and that's how it really felt!

Beautifully restored gite where Jeaninne and Roderick give their guests a warm welcome. Everything taken care of down to the last detail. A great base to discover beautiful Brittany. Really enjoy it there!!

We had a very relaxing holiday in a very nice rural setting. The coast is an hour's drive away and very nice places and towns to discover in the vicinity. A very successful holiday, the weather was very good and the owners are great!

Wonderful apartment (most beautiful in which we were on holiday so far) in a nice area with a very friendly and helpful hostess and host. Keep in mind that Brittany is very extensive, Plan in advance what you would like to see and then determine if the apartment is well located. Usually you can count on at least 3 quarters of an hour to an hour of travel time by car (one way) to the sights or, for example, the coast. Of course, this again depends purely on what you are looking for. If you are going for a week of rest, walking and some reading, then you have definitely come to the right place.

From the booking of Le Chariot everything was well taken care of. Quick answer via email and a nice email before arrival. After a warm welcome by the whole family, we found in the house a cold bottle of bubbles, fresh eggs, a beautiful bouquet of flowers, wood for the fireplace and delicious coffee. Top!
The house is spacious, cosily furnished and the beds are fine! The kitchen décor is superb. Really everything is there. We even discovered a blender and hand blender in the drawers (not used, but handy with small children). The garden is also lovely. Lots of different seating areas, a small swimming pool and a nice sauna. We also enjoyed the nice hot tub after a long walk in the woods. The dogs and cat Droppie are there for the entertainment and cuddles!
The location of le Chariot is excellent. Ploërdut is centrally located in Brittany. Most of the sights are about an hour away. We visited Vannes, Carnac (fantastic oysters eaten), Quiberon, the pink granite coast at Ploumanach, Quimper, Concarneau, the forests of Huelgoat and Lorient. In Lorient we went to the Base. Fantastic to see the bunkers for the submarines and the submarine itself. In the vicinity of Ploërdut itself there are some more smaller towns to visit.
Jeanin and Roderick are very welcoming and it is lovely to stay at le Chariot. From next year there will be a gite that is already being worked on (not bothered). Jeanin and Roderick, thank you very much and good luck with the future plans!

You can cycle well along the Canal Brest - Nantes. 5 km from the gite is a large lake at Priziac. In the village there is a good bakery, a shop, a pizzeria, bar (where you can eat well in the afternoon and Saturday evening). Within a 45-minute drive, you can be by the sea. At Carnac you can eat oysters.

Top Cottage! Very complete and in excellent condition. Lots of space outside. You have to drive a bit to the beach or larger towns, but that makes it wonderfully quiet
