What a beautiful and comfortable house. Especially for those who love peace and quiet. The view is great! The roof terrace adds a lot to the holiday feeling. There is a lot to do in the area. But in the immediate vicinity of the cottage (read; walking distance) there is virtually nothing (except Rio itself). For swimming water you first have to drive for 10 minutes and then a brisk walk of 30 minutes. Then you'll get something! Beautiful pools where you can swim and jump off the rocks. The coast (Bonasolla) is a 45-minute drive away and is highly recommended. So beautiful and wonderful that sea! The house is complete, beds are fine and the Wifi works fine. Only thing we missed was a washing machine. Especially if you stay longer, it is nice to be able to do your laundry. The local lavataria is quite pricey we found out :-).. But the towels/bed linen/kitchen linen are included in the price. Towels are provided washed every week. That's nice. What is special is that we also received fresh vegetables from the vegetable garden every day from the neighbor 'Maria' and Paul and Miriam. Delicious! If you are looking for a unique place where you are surrounded by beautiful nature and tranquility, Canonica is exactly what you are looking for. Paul and Miriam also give a lot of tips about the possibilities in the area and give you a warm 'home'. Have fun.

It was our first holiday in Italy and ended up at Miriam and Paul's apartment. And actually, from the reservation to going home, the contact via email went well. We have experienced😊 that as very pleasant, Location is super beautiful and also the tranquility in the picturesque mountain village of Rio and the friendliness of the residents is very pleasant. Three kilometers from Rio is Sesta Godano where you can not only do your daily shopping.... But you can also eat delicious pizza and enjoy the well-known cup of café or cappuccino in the morning. And this too for affordable PRICES!!!
Furthermore, the coastal town of Levanto and the surrounding area are highly recommended !!!! In short, we enjoyed 🇧🇬 it

5 days in Canonica were lovely. Atmospheric, soothing. The ringing of the bells of the adjacent church every half hour during the day was no problem. No bells at night!

Good beds, everything new and clean. Nice shower. Fine cuisine. No (dishwasher) washing machine. Wifi available!
Beautiful surroundings. Good info from the owner, swimming in the pool and restaurants and supermarket nearby.
Good base for trips, such as to the Cinque Terre (World Heritage Site) and the beach.

The kitchen is fully equipped with oven.
The whole house has shutters that keep it nice and cool.
The supermarket is about 3 kilometers where everything is for sale.
Also in village a delicious pizzeria.
From the balcony with table/chairs and sun loungers you can look far over the country.
The coast is also easy to reach, but parking is a disaster.
In short, a wonderful place to relax and discover Italy.
