About Wendy & Hans
Once upon a time... there was a family who had a great time in The Hague, but also in their French holiday home, the former Gare Blond Berneuil station. The holidays were always very successful and always too short, often with friends and sometimes just with the family.
So the point inexorably came that we, Wendy, Hans and our children Madelief and Berend, started asking ourselves what it is like to live here permanently and go to the Netherlands on holiday. So the other way around.
Since July 1, 2007 we have been living in beautiful, rural Belleix (limousin) in an old farm near our station. During this period we were followed by a TV crew from the program
'I leave'.
La Gare is now a gîte with private swimming pool. We are very proud that all our temporary residents are very satisfied and thoroughly enjoy themselves. In recent years we have continued to expand our services for guests, such as providing meals and facilitating workshops and packages.
