In Balatonszemes, the detached holiday home with 1,000 m2 garden is located on a cul-de-sac, 100 meters from Lake Balaton, for bathing, swimming and sailing.
South of your holiday resort you will find a beautiful rolling hilly country: for hiking, cycling and horseback riding.
Golf course (18 holes) easily accessible with a ferry that takes you to the other side of Lake Balaton.
Wide range of good restaurants nearby. Center of the town with station, supermarkets, bank, medical assistance, post office etc etc 1.5 km away.
The marina is within walking distance, where delicious fish can be eaten. Bicycles are available in the barn of Villa Pöle. We work together with the hotel next door, and our guests can use the sauna, the indoor swimming pool via a passepartout.
We work with a Covid protocol for our cleaners, suppliers and also ask our guests to adhere to the applicable rules.

Father Pöle, son Fer, and daughters Nush & Nona Palasthy put their heads together in winter 2005 to build Villa Pöle. Together with a local architect and contractor, they studied the building plans for long evenings. For many years the family had camped on the land where nowadays there is a wonderful family house: a real villa with all modern conveniences. If only it is possible to try Fer, Nona and Nush - now with their own offspring - in Villa Pöle in the summer. Pöle can be proud!

Explanation of the prices & cancellation policy

If you want to stay at the Villa Pöle, the complete accommodation is at your disposal, a large garden but plenty of places for quiet enjoyment of the outdoors; Inside, the lounge, dining room and well-equipped kitchen await your visit.

All beds are made, towels are laid out for you. Of course, the kitchen is well equipped with cleaning products, tea towels and dishcloths. There is firewood, wifi, printer, tourist info, etc. Our lovely housekeeper will make sure that everything is arranged down to the last detail for your visit and will prepare Villa Pöle for new guests even after your departure .
There are no other costs due besides the rental price, so the price is all inclusive so to speak.

You will occupy this spacious detached house 100 m from Lake Balaton. The beauty of Lake Balaton and the cozy atmosphere around the largest lake of Hungary are well known to many people.
Balatonszemes located on the south shore of the lake, 28 km west of Siofok.
The lake is the first 100-150 meter deep water and offers so much pleasure to children.

In earlier times had every wealthy family from Budapest a villa or cottage on Lake Balaton. At the Ady Endre utca thereof are still some fine specimens preserved. Pole Villa was built in 2005. The house was built as a family holiday, that the severe winters of Hungary had to endure. In winter it freezes Balaton regularly closed and it is possible to skate or about the great frozen plain walking. The walls of Villa Pole are thick, the windows have shutters, there is central heating and a cozy fireplace. Villa Pole lies at the Ady Endre utca, named after one of the most famous poets of Hungary. This is a dead end street, with only local traffic. The lake and the (grass) beach is 150 meters walking distance. For the house are three parking spaces, but it is also possible to have up to two cars to the driveway, within the fence to place.

Swimming, sailing and windsurfing on Lake Balaton in the 100 meters. Indoor pool, sauna and tennis at 200 meters. Riding different locations within 5 km. Cycling and mountain biking in the immediate vicinity.

In the vicinity of Balatonszemes is much to do, small restaurants, cafes, a marina, post museum, church and many small shops in and around the center of this small town.

A visit to the stud farm near Balatonlelle (including original restaurant with Hungarian cuisine) is surely not forget. Here are spectacular demonstrations given driving horse. A tour through the hills with a horse-is possible.

During the summer, the National Circus stores are huge red / white striped tent in Balatonlelle (a few miles from Szemes). Daily performances are shown. In Balatonlelle Parlor is also the best in the world!

Do you want to experience the culinary delights of Hungarian cuisine, book a table in the very distinguished Visz Castle (a few miles from Szemes).

A visit to the hot springs at Heviz is a must if you are in Hungary.

The old town of Keszthely is a beautiful center where you can visit the huge castle. To the ancient parquet not to damage all visitors walk in slippers.

Székesfehérvár is one of the oldest towns in Hungary and is on the way to Budapest. The main Baroque buildings in the city include the Episcopal Palace, the Zichy Palace and Stefan Cathedral. A relic from the Middle Ages, the St. Anna Chapel. In the Ruins Garden are remnants of the Romanesque basilica, as are the 11th-century sarcophagus in which the Holy King Stefan would lie.
