A few miles west, but still in the urban area of Marbella, is the famous and prestigious Puerto Banus marina, one of the most beautiful man-made marinas in the Mediterranean. Ships of millions belonging to owners with millions are anchored here. In Puerto Banús, the superyacht 'Nabila' of the former millionaire Adnan Kashoggi was also anchored. Along the quay wall and in the second part behind it are numerous gastronomic companies with all kinds of cuisines, bars, discos, jewelers, boutiques and more boutiques. Even the non-sailor can enjoy himself on this harbor pier, as long as he has enough money with him. Puerto Banús is an expensive place: a meal in one of the luxurious restaurants is quite pricey. The beautiful marina Puerto Banús, with its chic yachts, trendy restaurants and bars, is a magnet for visitors to the Costa del Sol. A stay on the Costa del Sol is incomplete without a visit to Puerto Banús, one of the most famous local attractions. Puerto Banús, named after its creator José Banús, dates back to 1968 and was one of Spain's first marina projects at the time. The result is very attractive and well worth a visit. Against a backdrop of mountains, a row of bright white apartment buildings surround the marina, where numerous ships of all shapes and sizes, from mega yachts to small fishing boats, are moored. A point of interest in Banús is the Arab-style complex of luxury apartments, to the right as you enter the port. With its lavish white marble facade and glittering battlements, it looks like something straight out of a movie about Arabian Nights. Around the marina are also several cafes, bars, restaurants, boutiques and gift shops. While these restaurants are the place to be seen, you often get more bang for your buck in the smaller restaurants in the back streets. In high season it is teeming with people on the quays, who come here to watch or be watched. In Banús you have a good chance of spotting celebrities or at least their cars. At night the town buzzes with activity, when the chic restaurants, trendy piano bars, discos and nightclubs fill with beautiful people. The tastefully done Bebabola project is a nice, more relaxed place to enjoy a drink and the sunset.

The Marbella Club golf is your immediate neighbors but within a short drive are several golf courses including Santa Clara, Marbella golf club, Los Flamingos golf, La Quinta, Atalaya Golf and many others.
