The new owners, Karin and Ralf, have further embellished this well-known and beloved holiday home with more spacious beds, new furniture, modern accents and a completely new kitchen.
La Pendolera has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms (1 en-suite with a spacious walk-in shower and the other with a bath/shower), a spacious living room with comfortable sofas, a fireplace and a Smart TV. Guests have a washing machine at their disposal and there is free WiFi throughout the house. All windows have mosquito nets and shutters, and the central air conditioning works on a consumption basis.
The kitchen is a beautiful American open kitchen with a large dining table and chairs, fully equipped with an electric stove, oven, microwave, large fridge/freezer, extractor hood, dishwasher and all necessities.
The outdoor area with fenced swimming pool and covered terrace with barbecue is the favorite place for most guests. The mild climate and the cover ensure that you can enjoy the outdoors all year round. The site is completely walled and the swimming pool is also separately fenced, child and pet friendly. There is outdoor lighting and pool lighting. A lockable parking space is available for 2 cars, and pets are allowed after consultation.
La Pendolera is exceptionally beautiful in the Alqueria, just 1.5 km from Comares, and in addition to the beautiful surroundings it also offers a microclimate. Due to its unique location on the mountainside overlooking the sea, temperatures are exceptionally mild even in winter, which is reflected in the many tropical fruits that thrive here. Many winter visitors choose to stay for several months every year because of these favorable conditions.
In addition to the natural beauty, there are numerous opportunities for walks in the immediate vicinity of the house. Also known as the 'Pearl of the Axarquia', Comares is a typical whitewashed Andalusian village steeped in history and Moorish influences. The village offers gastronomic delights in bars and restaurants, but for self-cookers there are also local amenities including a village supermarket, a bakery with wood-fired bread and the option of having meat, fish, bread and vegetables delivered to your home.
For active guests, Comares offers various options such as hiking, mountain biking, cycling and rock climbing. The village square at an altitude of 730 meters offers breathtaking views of the Sierra Tejeda and the Mediterranean Sea.
La Pendolera is the ideal base for day trips to Malaga, Granada (Alhambra), Cordoba (Mezquita), Ronda or the famous Caminito del Rey in Ardales. The award-winning beach of Torre del Mar is just 30 km away, and the commercial center of Velez-Malaga, with supermarkets and shopping centers, can be reached within half an hour.
