For the active cyclist, there is plenty to do in the area around Vradal.

MTB
A mountain bike mecca has recently emerged in Treungen (40 minutes' drive) with more than 100 kilometers of singletrack trails. Mountain bikes (Trek) are rented at Hotel Canvas Telemark in Heimdalsheia (+47 370 30 400) and cost approximately 50 euros per MTB. There are also MTB trails on the cross-country ski trails in the forest in Vradal itself. These are very technical in nature and require a good level of fitness.

Race
A clear cycling map is available at the tourist office in Vradal. There are beautiful routes such as a tour around Lake Vravatn or via Kviteseid along the Telemark Canal. Racing bikes are not available for rent in the area, so bring your own bike.

The Hyttegrend Vradal has a private beach, located on a sheltered and shallow bay where you can swim. It is a safe environment for children. There are two permanent BBQs on the beach where you can enjoy a nice meal. At one of the many islands in the lake near Vradal you can also have a BBQ anywhere on the small beaches. Ideal for enjoying a beautiful day outdoors with friends or family.

For boat rental (with motor), you can contact our neighbor, a 5-minute walk from the house. There is also boat, canoe or kayak rental at the local tourist office (www.vraadal.com or [email protected]).

The nearby ski area (5 minutes' drive) is ideal for families with children. Vrådal Panorama Ski center has 15 different slopes. There is an 8-seat ski lift, four chair lifts and a practice area for children. For cross-country skiing enthusiasts, the area is unsurpassed with 40 km of prepared trails (www.vradal.panorama.no).

In winter, short or long husky rides can be made at Svein Magne Myklebust, an hour's drive away in Haukeli. He has been a guide for more than 20 years and, together with his wife, organizes spectacular dog sledding trips with his 40 Alaskan huskies. Svein Magne is very driven and a true enthusiast. Safety comes first to enjoy an unforgettable trip with lunch in an igloo or overnight stay in a tent in the middle of the wilderness (www.hundespann.no).

The Norbel Hytte is located in a phenomenal location in nature with an unobstructed and undisturbed view of the lake. This house is ideal for one family. An evening of fishing for trout that are plenty to catch in the lake!

Do you know what makes the Norbel Hytte extra special? You can be on your skis in 5 minutes and in the center of Vrådal in 10 minutes. Moreover, there is a beach close to the house and because of the wonderful surroundings you can take the most beautiful walks around the house.

Visit the beautiful golf course on an island or enjoy a day of skiing, snowboarding or cross-country skiing. There are plenty of activities available in this village, including kayaking, fishing, cycling and hiking. Vrådal is therefore a popular holiday destination all year round!
