Guesthouse 10 is located in the village of Schellinkhout, which borders the city of Hoorn and the Markermeer.
The holiday accommodation is located at the beginning of the winding village road with alternating farms, historic buildings and modern houses on either side. After 2 km the village ends at a beach / sunbathing area where kitesurfing is busy most of the year. As an alternative, the city beach of Hoorn, which will open in 2023, is recommended. The North Sea beaches can also be reached within 30 minutes by car.
Schellinkhout is located on various cycling routes that cross West Friesland. For example towards Hoorn, Enkhuizen and Medemblik. The Omringdijk from the Markermeer to Heerhugowaard is also a well-known cycling route. There are also many varied excursions possible, such as:

Within 5 minutes by car or 15 minutes by bike you can reach the city center of Hoorn, where you can experience plenty of culture, eat, drink and shop. In the other direction, Enkhuizen is approximately 15 minutes by car.
The holiday home is connected on one side to the owners' home and is surrounded by a sunny garden with several terraces. A garden set, sunbeds and BBQ are available. The house is very spacious (160 square meters) and has beds for 6 people. The entire ground floor has underfloor heating. The bathroom is located on the ground floor and has a shower and jacuzzi bubble bath.

Ground floor:
Front door with hall and toilet;
Living room with sitting area, sliding doors to the terrace in front of the house and stairs to the 1st floor;
Kitchen-diner with dining table and kitchen, door to terrace under the veranda;
Bathroom with shower, toilet, sink and Jaccouzi bath;
First floor:
Large bedroom with box spring bed 160x210 cm, seating area
Smaller bedroom with 2 box spring beds 80x200 cm, free-standing and can be used as a double bed;
Large landing with seating and wooden stairs to the attic.
Attic floor:
Two separate beds of 90x200 cm, each in a corner of the attic, which can be separated with a curtain. The attic can only be reached via a steep staircase. Some flexibility required.
Garden:
The house has a large garden on the side of the veranda. The terrace has a dining table with chairs, sun loungers and a BBQ.
The garden has recently been expanded by 350 square meters and is therefore temporarily fenced off with sheep fences. Two additional parking spaces have been created that are exclusively intended for the holiday home. You do not always have to cross the owners' property. The grass will be sown there and the final fence will be installed in March 2024.
Misuse:
A men's and women's bicycle can be used for a fee. There are also several bicycle rental companies in the area.
Kitchenware:
The kitchen is equipped with tea towels, towels, dishcloths, washing up cubes and detergent, cleaning supplies, basic spices for cooking and oil/vinegar. Toilet paper and kitchen rolls are provided. There is also a basic supply of tea bags and Nespresso cups available.
You can borrow the following items from the owner: baking tray, air fryer, bread maker.
