Village house from 1858 in Zuid-Scharwoude, municipality of Langedijk. Nice renovated old house with authentic details.
You can park for free, but you do not have your own parking space.
Near all amenities, supermarket, bakery, drugstore pharmacy within walking distance, M Museum Broekerveiling in Broek op langedijk (also municipality of Dijk en Waard just like Zuid-Scharwoude), beach (16km) and nice cities such as Alkmaar, Schagen, Hoorn , Volendam, Zaanse Schans and of course not too far from Amsterdam.
Possibility to rent our bicycles for a week, so that you can cycle to the beach of Bergen or Schoorl.
Or perhaps a day at Geestmerambacht, a recreational lake not far from our house.

We Hans and Ineke Melchers have been living and working in France in the Morvan since 2015.
Hans has a handyman company there and I rent out our gîte and chambre d'hôte.
We have purchased the house on Dorpsstraat since August 2018. The house dates from 1858. We spent the winter of 2018/2019 renovating the house.
We bought the house to be with our children during the winter months and recently also 2 grandchildren.
In the summer we rent our house to holidaymakers.

Explanation of prices

Rental price before and after season per week 650 euros, including bed linen.
In the months of July and August the rental price is € 750 per week.
Cleaning costs 65 euros
Deposit 200 euros

The changeover day is on Saturday.

General terms and conditions You can make a reservation by completing the reservation form, which you can find under the tab: availability and contact. After receiving your reservation, you will receive a confirmation from us with the invoice for a deposit of 25% of the booking amount. You must transfer the amount to us within 5 days so that we can finalize your reservation. The remainder of the rental sum must be paid no later than 6 weeks before the start of the rental period. For reservations made within 6 weeks before the rental period, the total rental amount must be paid immediately after receipt of the confirmation and invoice.
Deposit
The deposit must be paid in advance with the rental amount. We assume that you leave the house as you found it upon arrival. If it is established upon departure that there is no damage or loss, the amount of the deposit will be transferred to you within 2 weeks. If the deposit is insufficient in the event of damage, the tenant must pay the additional amount.
Liability of landlord
Your stay on our property is entirely at your own risk. We cannot accept any liability for damage or inconveniences caused on our site. If it is necessary to carry out repairs, we reserve the right to enter the rented property and carry out the work.

Cancellation
For cancellations more than 6 weeks before the start of the rental period, the deposit will be refunded minus € 25.00 administration costs. If you cancel within 6 weeks before the start of the rental period, we cannot make a refund.
We advise you to take out full travel and cancellation insurance.
