This wonderful, air-conditioned Chalet, located at Camping International in Porlezza (Italy), is located directly on Lake Lugano.
The Chalet itself, approx. 40m2, is fully equipped, in front of the chalet you have a covered veranda, the living room is furnished with a sitting area and satellite TV (also DVD), a dining area and air conditioning. The open kitchen is fully equipped with gas fireplace and microwave. The bathroom with shower, toilet, sink and ample storage space. And 2 bedrooms, 1 master bedroom with a double bed and 2 wardrobes and a children's room with a single bed, a bunk bed and a wardrobe.
The chalet, via Torino 252, is quietly located on the side of the campsite on the river (separated by a dam) about 100 meters from the lake on a more or less dead end street. You park directly next to the chalet and here you also have a sitting area and a charcoal BBQ.
The campsite has a large swimming pool with 5 slides for young and old and is free for you as a guest. You will also find a kiosk here where ice cream, sweets, fries and with a bit of luck even frikandellen can be obtained in high season. There is also a large playground with trampolines, inflatables, climbing frames, slides and fitness equipment. There is a football field and in the summer months there is a children's disco at the campsite in the evenings. In the middle of the campsite there is a small shop where you can get fresh bread and the necessary things for your daily use, you also get ice cream, cappucinos and alcoholic drinks here, which you can enjoy inside or on the terrace.
Just outside the gates of the campsite is a Pizzaria which is open for lunch and dinner, I don't think you'll get a bad pizza in Italy anytime soon but this Pizzaria is frequented by Italians which is a good sign and we can confirm that the pizzas here are delicious. Next to the Pizzaria is a bar where live music is often played, so you never have to go far.
In Porlezza you will actually find everything you need in terms of shops and supermarkets, also here of course wonderful restaurants with terraces, this is easy to do on foot, where you walk along the river and the lake through parks with various playgrounds. On Saturdays there is a large market in Porlezza with fresh fruit and vegetables, cheese, meat, bread, etc., but also clothing, shoes and other items.
It is actually too much to mention, if we have aroused your interest I will say, quickly view the available periods and book this chalet before it is too late and discover everything else on your own..
With less than 1000 km from Utrecht you can drive to Porlezza in a day and have no additional costs for overnight stays en route.
If you have never driven through Switzerland before you will enjoy the 250km from Basel to Lugano with the gigantic mountains on the left and right and if you dare take the Gotthard-Pass instead of the tunnel, this will be an experience for you experienced..
Folks, I wish you lots of fun..!
