When the mountains of Winterberg are covered in white, it's time for skiing and cross-country skiing! But for now: Spring is coming! As soon as the snow melts nature awakens to new life. The Sauerland is an attractive holiday destination in every season. There is always something going on here.

Our spacious holiday home with 6 bedrooms is located in Winterberg-Langewiese and lies at 719 meters altitude. The air is pure. Therefore, Langewiese is partially recognized by the German state as a "health resort". Especially for people looking for health benefits this is a very attractive holiday destination. 

Concerning your dream holidays in white:In Winterberg there are 30 slopes and 24 lifts. In the total area in and around Winterberg there are 83 runs and 60 lifts. Of course you can join other activities in Winterberg  as well. Such as tubing, bull racing run or climbing in the climbing park. Are you looking for a nice, practical and cozy accommodation for your winter sports holiday in the Sauerland? Then our holiday home is ideal. In Winterberg you can usually ski from mid-December. When it starts to freeze in early December, 250 snow cannons provide enough snow to open the slopes and allow skiing in Winterberg. The Carussell ski lift offers modern chairlifts, sometimes even more comfortable than those in the Alps. With its proximity to the Netherlands, Winterberg is the ideal place for your holiday. There are 25 lifts at the Carussell ski lift with a total of 27.5 km of pistes. 14 km blue track12 km of slopes1.5 km of black piste So when you are longing for a wonderful winter holiday in Winterberg or Neuastenberg and Schwestermuschelwith the whole family, together under one roof? Then you are right with us! Our group accommodation is only 2km from the Postwiese ski area and 6km from the Carussell ski lift.

Our apartment is completely furnished and equipped and very comfortable to live in  for up to 12 people.
You can take your entire family or your friends to our spacious holiday home- all of them. 
Our house has a large living room with a sofa and some fauteuls.
Here you can relax from the effort on the slopes, for example, while enjoying the quality of the large 107 cm TV with super-sharp picture (HD quality). There is a modern kitchen with a large fridge / freezer (200 liters) and a dishwasher.
An induction hob, oven or microwave make it possible to cook any dish you like.gOn the first floor are two large bedrooms, a bathroom and a toilet. 
All bedrooms have closets to store your clothes. 

On the second floor there are four large bedrooms, a bathroom and a toilet. Of course aslo here you’ll find enough space for storage. We also rent sheets and towels. More information can be found under "Background" in the section "Bed linen and towels"! On the ground floor are two garages, a boiler room, a relaxing sauna for five people and a large bathroom with shower and a separate toilet. There is even a space for recreation with table tennis, table football and darts! We hope you do not mind bringing the arrows yourself. The boiler room is also our ski room and is used to store ski and ski boots.     In the immediate vicinity of our house (within 200 m) are three excellent restaurants. At affordable prices, you will be served delicious menusPerfect for a weekend  you do not want to cook yourself but intent to pamper yourself.

A  nice visit to the small villages and towns in the area like Bad Berleburg Schmallenberg, Winterberg or Marburg is  another  idea.  Everything is easy to reach from our house.Our house is the perfect  homebase for RIDERS. Our home has enough garages and a large parking lot. The bikes  or motorbikes can be parked  and locked  and are  therefore SAFE. During the Day you can experience beautiful rides on the wonderfully  winding roads of  the Sauerland.

Langewiese is the ski area only 500 meters from our house. There are two lifts.  It’s An ideal ski area for beginners / children. There are two snow guns available. 

In recent years, Winterberg has invested a lot in optimizing your skiing experience. All large slopes have state-of-the-art snow cannons to produce snow when needed. Explanation of prices

The rental price for our house, stated by Micazu, is for 4 people, or for 8 people for Christmas, New Year and crocus.
Unfortunately, the computer system of Micazu can not calculate the rental price for additional persons.
The bill for a booking of our holiday home for 12 people is therefore always higher than the price indicated by Micazu for 4 people.
Sometimes this fact unfortunately causes confusion. Tenants then assume to be able to sleep with 12 or 14 people in our house for the amount advertised by Micazu. We hope you understand after this clarification that this is not the case!

For each additional person above the number of 4 or 8, a surcharge applies. If the price calculation does not seem clear to you, you are welcome to contact us. We will send you the exact rental price for the number of persons specified by you as soon as possible. This ensures clarity and prevents disappointment.

The prices stated by Micazu refer to a stay of 4 people.
For Christmas, New Year and Crocus we use a rental price for 8 people.

Additional costs are:
-Energy (water, electricity, heating and electricity consumption of our sauna)
- Tourist tax for persons over 17 years. For children no "Kurtax" is calculated.
-Final cleaning for the whole house.

To avoid misunderstandings, we calculate an extra charge for any person above the number of 4:
€ 7.50 per person for energy costs
€ 7.50 per person for final cleaning up to a maximum of € 240.00 for the entire house.
We assume that the energy costs are largely covered.
If this is not the case, we charge no costs.
We do not count on the basis of the meter readings, because we find that too complicated.

For additional persons we charge a rent subsidy of:
€ 70.00 per weekend
€ 70.00 per week (€ 10.00 per day)
The higher the number of persons, the cheaper the rent per person.

We are Gerben and Cobie Stellingwerf in Veenendaal. We've been active in the leisure market since 1980, initially renting out apartments at the Aparthotel Kleinwalsertal (Austria) and recreation bungalows in Drenthe. We gave this up in 2001 when we bought a fabulous cottage in France, which we let for certain periods of the year. This villa is also advertised for rent on the MICAZU site (formerly D-trips) under the name "Villa South of France." In september 2008 we bought a large house in the Sauerland (Germany, which we have rented out from December 20, 2008. This house has been brought up to date with a modern kitchen with dishwasher, fridge and freezer. There is also a wireless internet connection so you can use your laptop for FREE. Since Christmas 2009, we've also offered a sauna, additional bathroom and extra toilet in the basement . After skiing you can relax in our 5 person sauna.

From the Bremberg a new track built into the Kappe. This is about the Astenstrasse. The length of the slope is 850 meters. A new very modern 8-person chairlift bi. The first eight seater chairlift in Germany.

Our house is in the village of Langewiese, which comes under the municipality of Winterberg,around 6 km away. Langewiese (450 inhabitants) is a small village where everyone knows each other. It lies at 720 meters altitude and is a State recognized "Luftkurort". The air is very clean and therefore ideal for people with asthma and other breathing problems. In Langewiese there is a small supermarket "Backerei Gerke" so you can get all your groceries only 100 meters away. The owner of this small supermarket is a baker, making around 10,000 rolls for all the hotels in the area. There are many kinds of bread available to our guests every morning.
Near the house you will find several hotels and restaurants where you can eat at very affordable prices.
In Langewiese there is a tourist information office providing many information leaflets. However, it is not always open.

Our house in Winterberg-Langewiese is a very large house comprising: 6 large bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 3 toilets, modern kitchen with appliances, large lounge, separate dining room, large terrace of 45 m2. On the ground floor is a washer and dryer. The whole house is centrally heated via an oil fired boiler. In the roof of our house is an attic that is not used.

To the side of the living room, you look out onto a large sun terrace. The front overlooks the main road to Winterberg. The living room has a settee and armchairs and TV. We have Dutch TV via satellite - there are quite a lot of English language programmes! There is no open fireplace.

Our kitchen is fairly new and equipped with a dishwasher, an oven, induction hob and hood. There is a small microwave for quickly heating up meals. There is a large fridge with 3-drawer freezer. There is cutlery for 18 people. There is also a coffee maker and kettle. There is NO Senseo coffee maker. If you wish, you must bring your own.

As already stated elsewhere, our house has 6 large bedrooms. There are 2 double bedrooms, a bedroom with 2 bunkbeds +?? bed, sleeping up to 4 and 3 further rooms, each with 2 single beds. All beds have single mattresses and single duvets.

On the ground floor is a sauna where our guests can now relax in the evening. In addition to the sauna, we have also built a new bathroom and a new toilet.

As already stated elsewhere, our house is on Bundesstrasse in Langewiese. This is a main road (and bus route), hence kept snow free in winter. There is plenty of room for off-road parking. We ensure that our parking area is kept snow-free. The bus stop is right on our doorstep. If you want to travel to the Sauerland by train, you will arrive at Winterberg where you can catch a bus right to the door. Couldn't be easier! However, most guests come with their own car.
Accessibility
Sauerland is regarded as a great natural area with many small, charming villages in the valleys. With its lakes, pine forests, lots of walking and a chain of caves, the Sauerland has a lot of recreational nature to offer. Its most famous tourist city is Winterberg. The mountains are very reminiscent of the Ardennes in France where there are also caves, similar sized, forest-covered mountains.
Beer and sausages are to be found everywhere! These inhabitants of the land between the sea and the Alps are known as great lovers of all kinds of sausages. You won't find a menu without meat. Each region has its own favorite. The beef, lamb, heathland mutton, potatoes and cabbage are combined into a hearty meal of culinary delights. Also for the true beer lover, Germany is a paradise. Germany has 40 percent of the total number of breweries in the world. There are even special "beer tours" that take you through the beer history of the country.
Topography of Sauerland: The Langenberg (843 m) at Willingen gives an idea of the extent of the range of the Sauerland mountains. The Rothaargebirge that flows into the Ruhr, Eder, Sieg and Lahn rivers, is at the heart of the Sauerland heights. The area has quite a few reservoirs, which arose from the need for clean drinking water and energy. The reservoirs have given rise to significant recreational activities. Any watersports enthusiasts will therefore feel at home in the Sauerland. The large Stausee Bigge in particular has much to offer.
Around Soest and on the high plateau at Brilon is a lot of cycling opportunities. The fairly recent hiking and mountain biking route, Rothaarsteig, allows you to enjoy virtually undisturbed the natural surroundings. Some of the most beautiful ...of natural beauty are the caves in Attendorn (the Attahöhle) in Hemer and Letmathe. The Bilsteinhöhle in Warstein also attracts many cavers. In Olsberg is the naturepark Bruchhauser Steine and the waterfall at Wasserfall is well- photographed. And if you really want to drive a tourist route you can drive along the famous fairytale route taking in for eg the Wilhelmshöhe in Kassel.
Wintersport in Sauerland: the ski resorts of the Sauerland are moderate with lots of blue and red pistes and one black for the daredevil. The ski areas are very close to the Netherlands. In three hour's drive away from Utrecht in Brilon, Willingen, Winterberg and Winterberg, the most famous villages in the area. The villages are 600 to 800 meters altitude, Winterberg as its highest at 842 meters. In northern Sauerland lies the green plateau where the Brothers Grimm were inspired for their sprookjes.Skigebied Winterberg (590-841m) Winterberg has her name as a winter destination has long been realized. The site east of the Ruhr area has a very wide range of possibilities. For the more adventurous there is a black run. For skiers with less experience, there are opportunities in abundance. Also Willingen also attracts many skiers and snowboarders because of the wide variety of runs. Known in Lingen Will is the annual ski jumping World Cup, an event that a thousand interested attracts. ZomerHet in the Sauerland Sauerland is eminently known as a walking country. Typical of the landscape are rarely really steep hills, forests and reservoirs. In Wintreberg is a mountain bike park. For watersports please visit the following reservoirs: the Agger, Bigge, Sorpe, Möhne, Henne, Diemelsee, Eder and Twistesee. You can go swimming, sailing, windsurfing, rowing, canoeing and diving. One of the most famous ski resorts is undoubtedly the German Sauerland. This beautiful area is located to the east of Cologne. The hills of the Sauerland are a popular destination for the local residents of the cities along the Rhine and Ruhr valley as well as other Europeans. It is an important water catchment area and the lakes between forested hills and the ravine-like valleys are an ideal area for water sports. During the winter it's a perfect holiday destination: Winterberg offers the best wintersports facilities north of the Alps. The hills are not as spectacular, but very attractive none-the-less. The Sauerland is ideal for the cross-country- , downhill-skier, snowboarder or winter walker alike. For nearly 100 days you can use the 55 lifts and 200 km of trails. Snow cannons ensure there is always snow. The well-known Winterberg and Willingen form the centre of the Sauerland. 1 million people annually come to the many hotels and guesthouses. Sauerland is both in winter and in summer a beautiful nature area and is not for nothing called the land of a thousand mountains. The ski areas in the Sauerland are not always sure of natural snow, but the atmosphere there more than makes up for it. There is always fun to be had both summer and winter on the massive bobsleigh/toboggan run. Winterberg has slopes between 620 and 810 meters altitude, no less than 16 lifts and 7 chairlifts and snow cannons ensure winter fun from mid-December to mid March. Neuastenberg is a well-known climatic health resort and the most snow-sure ski area of Sauerland. The highest point here is 841 meters and has a skiing area of approximately 35 hectaren with snow cannons and equipped with 9 lifts. The Ski Museum is located there. In another place, namely Züschen, no less than 7 ski-lifts wait to tow you up for runs of up to 1000 meters. The ski resort of Homberg-Ziegenhelle, is at an altitude of approximately 700 meters. Altastenberg is the highest village in the Sauerland and very popular with cross-country skiers and the 7 skilifts between 660 and 830 meters are much appreciated! The Sauerland is particularly suitable for beginners and improver skiers and hence very suitable for families with children. Even families with toddlers and babies can have a carefree holiday in the Sauerland.

Winterberg (670-842 m). Winterberg is the most famous resort in the Sauerland and lies at an altitude of 670 meters. The resort sits on a plateau surrounded by hills with a height of 800 meters. The natural environment is very beautiful and besides skiing and snowboarding, there are many good cross-country ski tracks. Winterberg is a friendly tourist centre, ideal for short family holidays, suitable for children and babies. In the village there are many restaurants and bars, with lots of coming and going especially in the winter. As well as the ski slopes, Winterberg also has 2 ski jumps and an offical bobsleigh and luge run.

Neuastenberg together with Postwiese is among the most traditional ski resorts of the Sauerland. It has varied and open slopes, ideal for snowboarders. And also for the beginners there are plenty of opportunities here. Postwiese is the most reliable for snow in the region. It is an exciting and lively area exciting that you shouldn't miss. Ski runs at 600 to 730 meters

After reading our information you are hopefully very interested in renting our property. From Micazu you can easily book the desired period with us. If you reserve, Micazu receives an email telling us that you want to make a reservation. If we agree with this reservation, we will receive your address information from Micazu. We will then send you a reply with the announcement that we will send you additional information and a bill of costs in the short term. We ask you to make a deposit of 25% of the total rental price. The second and last term will pay you 2 months before the start of your holiday. Should you have to cancel your holiday for some reason then we have some time to find new tenants. Cancellation insurance can be terminated at Micazu.

Skigebiet Postwiese (Deutsche Sprache)
The resort of Postwiese is a sun-bathed ski resort on the south side of the Kahler Asten. All slopes are clearly marked and easy to combine with longer descents. The central starting point at the top of the Postwiese makes orientation easy. Due to the high altitude of 610 to 730 meters, there is almost always plenty of natural snow but failing that there is a snow machine that enures under ideal conditions from December to March.

There is (are):
a 300,000 m2 ski area encompassing 15 runs with a total length of 8 km, 8 ski lifts and 1 toboggan lift.
These lifts transport 7000 persons per hour.

There is a natural, well-lit toboggan run of 400 m and snowboarding park with half-pipes etc where you can watch the tricks of the snowboarders or have a go yourself! Click on the link "snowboarders in action in funpark Postwiese"
With suitable snow conditions the park is open daily from 9.00 to 16.30.
You can go skiing by floodlight on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 18.30 to 21.30 and enjoy floodlit tobogganing on Saturday from 18.30 to 21.30.
Postwiese
This, the only natural toboggan run in Sauerland, has a length of 400 meters with steep turns through picturesque beech forests. A special tobogganlift allows for easy transport back up the mountain. You just sit on a sled and let yourself be taken up the mountain pulling your own toboggan behind you. When the weather permits, the run is completely frozen and is resurfaced every night. On Saturdays you can enjoy floodlit tobogganning from 18.30 to 21.30.

Postwiese has one of the most modern ski-ticket systems in the business. All eight lifts are connected. Guests can buy their tickets the day prior to requirement, thus saving valuable skiing time. Cards issued (day- and points- cards) do not have to be repeatedly shown as the chip lets you easily pass the turnstiles at the valley station, without having to put the card into a reader. When you purchase the card, you pay 3 euros deposit which is fully refundable when the card is surrendered. The card can be topped up, up to a hundred times as points or day ticket for subsequent visits. 3+day tickets (Arena skiCard)are also valid for the Skiliftkarussell Winterberg, the Winter Sahnehang, the Skikarussell Stenberg, Snow World and in Züschen Ski Willingen as well as in Postwiesen. There is no returnable deposit on these cards. They can, however, be topped up in all participating resorts as 3 (or more) day tickets.

Directly at the Postwiesen Ski Area you will find the best-known après ski events. In five locations, you will experience the finest Après-Ski mood. It can also be a bit quieter: to warm up and have a warm and friendly atmosphere, you can meet friends and holidaymakers on sun terraces, in bistros and restaurants in and around the Postwiesen Ski Area. Laine The Lawine is the Après Skiing Point in Neuastenberg. In this cozy bistro at the top of the Postwiesen slope it all happens. Motorcycling in the Sauerland
We have finally (!!) found a company that rents linen and towels. Many of our customers have in recent years asked for this service but until now we have been unable to offer it.

From NOW (January 2012) can.
Obviously there are costs involved.
The rental company provides us with a "pro" package for a price of 12.50 euros per person. This linen package consists of:

1 duvet cover
1 sheet
1 pillowcase
2 hand towels
1 bath towel

For general use the following is also provided:

2 bath mats
5 kitchen towels
5 tea-towels

In short, we think this is a useful service- it saves a lot of space in the car and no need to take dirty linen home to wash. However,the choice is yours. The cost per person is 12.50 euros.
