La Claudecantelle

Via a magical long driveway you arrive at a pearl of a holiday home called La Claudecantelle... This very privately located fairytale house has been completely renovated and decorated with lots of love and taste by a Dutch Interior Stylist and you can see that! The antique items and art pieces each have their own story, making this house unique in its style.

It is not without reason that the owner has won several awards and has regularly appeared in various magazines with her beautiful designs... La Claudecantelle is located on 2 hectares of private land, consisting of grassland with walking paths, forest and its own water stream! You can enjoy a lovely walk here with only the sound of the birds and sometimes a cow for company. Enjoy the evening on a bench or in your hammock and who knows, you might see some deer hopping by…

La Claudecantelle is the ideal place to completely relax, but if you want to escape the hustle and bustle, you can easily reach the center of the beautiful town of Bergerac by car...

Inside
The house has a large kitchen-diner with a lovely long old table that has heard many life stories... There is also a wood-burning stove for the colder periods, but in the summer it is wonderfully cool in this house. The beautiful terrace can be reached from both the living room and the kitchen. The living room is an attractive relaxation room with its own library. How about a romantic evening by the wood stove with a nice glass of red wine?

The holiday home has 2 bedrooms, one on the first floor with a double bed and on the ground floor there is a bedroom with 2 separate beds of 90x200 cm. On the ground floor is the bathroom with shower and sink and a separate toilet.

Outside
You can enjoy the sun or relax in the shade in various places. There are of course nice sun loungers and how about chilling in the hammock?

Environment
La Claudecantelle is 14 km from Bergerac and 25 km from Périgueux. Several walks can be done from the house. You walk through beautiful nature or through small hamlets with beautiful Perigordine houses. If you want to swim, you can go to the beach of Lac de Pombonne (8 km) with its 55 hectares of nature reserve. You can have a picnic there but there is also a restaurant. There are also several castles to visit nearby. The castle of Monbazillac (18 km) where you can taste the delicious dessert wine Monbazillac.

Castle de Bridoire (20 km) which is great fun with old games in the garden for the children or Castle Tiregant (13 km) which sells wines and organizes very nice events during the season. Château les Merles (13 km) where you can play golf, but you can also sit on a terrace or have lunch/dinner without playing waves. There are also several restaurants in the area, 3 km away. Bakery with very small supermarket (10 shelves) at 3.5 km.
