Portinho Arrábida, a lovely beach, is about 11 km away. On the hill, the monastery, built in the sixteenth century, is an example of integration into nature and invites reflection and retreat.
Serra da Arrábida is currently on the World Heritage List.

Another recommended route is the town of Setúbal (20 km), with its churches and old houses. Ferries depart from the harbor for Troia and Comporta, side by side with a pod of dolphins.

A little further north, within easy reach, is Lisboa, a beautiful and cosmopolitan city that, despite being less than an hour's drive away, is far enough away not to disturb the serenity of Sitio.

Besides the mentioned beaches, Portinho Arrábida, Sesimbra, Troia and Comporta, Praia do Meco, because of its size and beauty, is a wild place to visit. In some of these places there are several diving, surfing, windsurfing and kitesurfing schools.

And for those who have other interests such as golf, there are some golf courses nearby, Quinta do Peru, Troia or Aroeira.
There is a riding school for horse riding enthusiasts.
