Apartamento Elris is a charming city apartment in Olhão, in the east of the Algarve about 30 minutes by car from Faro airport. It is located on the first floor and equipped with all modern comforts and very suitable for seniors. There is AC, unlimited fast internet, modern appliances, electric shutters, an elevator and a private parking space in the parking garage.
Especially the large south-facing terrace at the quiet rear of the building overlooking a traditional Portuguese residential area, with a view, is wonderful for relaxing or eating outside.

It is pleasant to step out of the city bustle into the silence and tranquility of this modern apartment; it has double glazed windows, lots of light and space. With two bedrooms and two bathrooms, the apartment is ideal for two couples or a family.

The entrance to the building is located on a parallel road to the N125, a thoroughfare through the city towards Faro or Tavira. Supermarkets, other shops and restaurants are within walking distance. There is a Pasteleria right next to the entrance of the building for fresh sandwiches or a cup of coffee.
In about 15 - 20 minutes you can walk to the old center and the boulevard, via Avenida da República. Stroll along the waterfront and choose to have lunch or dinner in one of the many restaurants. You will also find the famous fish and vegetable market here and on Saturdays along the boulevard near the market halls the local market with regional products, beachwear, bags, etc ....

Olhao is located approximately in the middle of the Ria Formosa Natural Park. A 60 kilometer long lagoon between Faro and Tavira surrounded by a labyrinth of islands and peninsulas, sandbanks, white beaches and dunes. A unique coastal area comparable to the Dutch Wadden Islands.
From Olhao you can go to the beach by taking the ferry from the port to Ilha de Armona, Farol or Culatra. In the immediate vicinity is Fuseta, a picturesque fishing village where you will find a small beach on the mainland, about 15 to 20 minutes by car from Olhao. Here too it is possible to take a ferry to Praia de Fuzeta with a view of the Atlantic Ocean.
