Our apartment Stella is located at the foot of Monte Rosa in the Valsesia, 3 km from Varallo. The Valsesia is a beautiful area in the north of Piedmont, where you can fully enjoy nature, sports and culture.
Apartment Stella is centrally located on the Sesia River, which therefore offers the opportunity for walks in the nearby mountains, water sports (rafting, kayaking, etc.), cycling tours, and winter sports.
Apartment Stella has been completely restored and opened since September 2022.
You enter the apartment (62 m2) through a private entrance. The living-dining kitchen has a beautiful view of the mountains through the large panoramic window.
The living room is equipped with a spacious sofa, a comfortable chair, dining area with 4 chairs and an attractive wood-burning stove, firewood is available for you.
The kitchen is equipped with a Smeg 5-burner gas stove with oven, extractor hood, dishwasher and a fridge-freezer combination.
The apartment has two bedrooms, 1 with a double box spring and the other room has two single box spring beds.
The beds are ready for you upon arrival.
The bathroom is spacious and has a rain shower, double sink, hairdryer, toilet and bidet.
Outside you have access to a terrace with furniture, and you can also use the spacious garden.
Towels, kitchen towels, bed linen and WiFi are included.
Environment
Our apartment Stella is centrally located 5 minutes away from the beautiful town of Varallo (Piemonte region).
Varallo has nice streets with plenty of shops, restaurants, bars and, last but not least, a very good ice cream parlor with the tastiest ice creams.
The valley has many sights, many small villages such as Rassa with its traditional houses and Alagna Valsesia where you can take the gondola up to an altitude of 3275 meters. The pilgrimage site of Sacro Monte di Varallo, recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site, is also worth a visit. You can reach Lago D'Orta via a beautiful route over the Passo della Colma. A beautiful lake with charming villages.
Another reason to travel to Valsesia is the delicious food. Piedmont is also called the king of Italian cuisine. The region is known for its wines, white truffles, mushrooms, cheese, antipasti, game and risotto.
Also in the mountains around Mountain Cabin Valsesia, there are plenty of local specialties to enjoy, such as polenta and miacce, paper-thin crispy pancakes filled with cheese or ham. Wonderful after a brisk mountain walk.
In terms of activity, there is a lot to do in the immediate area, there are numerous walking and cycling trails, and there are also many water sports. You can think of rafting, kayaking, canyoning and fly fishing, the permits for which are sold in the village.
In winter you can fully enjoy the snow in the winter sports areas in Scopello Alpe di Mera (11 km) and Alagna Monterosa Ski (30 km), these areas are easily accessible by car from our apartment.
