The idyllic half-timbered house has been restored with much love and attention to detail. Enjoy an unforgettable stay for two people on 20m2. The cottage has an open layout with a sitting area and a kitchenette with sink (cold water), refrigerator, kettle, coffee maker and a 1-burner stove. There is a camping toilet in the cottage (for emergencies). Your own shower and toilet are located in a modern sanitary building in the former pigsty, 50m. further (here is the internet). Via a wooden staircase you reach the open sleeping loft with a double bed with two comfortable mattresses. You can look directly at the stars through the skylight. The beds are made. Enjoy breakfast on the terrace or watch the sunset on the veranda. Consumption of electric heating is charged separately. Internet access in the sanitary building.
The cottage is located on a country road, in the yard of an old, disused farm in the village of Osterwald, near the border with the Netherlands. The area is ideal for (cross-border) walks, such as the Podagristenpad and various cycling tours, such as the Grafschafter Cycling Tour and the United Countries Tour. Places worth seeing such as Münster, Bad Bentheim, Nordhorn, Ootmarsum and Enschede are also within easy reach and are certainly worth a visit, but above all enjoy the natural surroundings here. In the immediate vicinity: varied cycling and walking routes, canoeing, Nordhorn zoo, Nordhorn water town, Bad Bentheim castle, Uelsen, historic town of Neuenhaus, Emsflower experience park, Emsland Moormuseum, Bourtanger Moor-Bargerveen nature park and the town of Ootmarsum. Cycling and walking just across the border in Twente in Overijssel. Cycling & walking maps are available.
