On the ground floor you enter a beautiful living room of 57m2 with granite tiles and ceiling beams, and a fully equipped kitchen with all the necessities for culinary pleasure. Outside is a private terrace with BBQ.

An enchanting shared staircase takes you to the first floor, where two spacious rooms await with breathtaking views of the moat and vineyard. When we met, we chose an exciting life: impulsively getting married on a sunny beach, raising four wonderful children abroad, making things ourselves and baking sandwiches over a campfire. In 2019 we fell in love with Château de la Preuille and dreamed of making it an enchanting place. With us, every stay is unforgettable, for guests and for us.

Explanation of prices

If the tenant wishes to cancel the booking for any reason, the tenant must always confirm this to the landlord by e-mail (even if this has already been communicated to the landlord by telephone, for example).
The landlord charges the following amounts, depending on the date of written cancellation by the tenant:

in case of cancellation up to the 90th day before the arrival day: 35% of the rental sum.

in case of cancellation from the 90th day to the 28th day before the arrival day: 60% of the rental sum.

in case of cancellation from the 28th day to the 7th day before the arrival day: 90% of the rental price.

in case of cancellation from the 7th day before the arrival day or later: 100% of the rental sum.

Additional costs: Tourist tax: €0.85 pppn (from 18 years).

When we got the keys to the castle, we didn't know that we were only 8 km away from this beautiful village, a little pearl. Also called the “Dolce Vita” of the West. Like walking in Tuscany. Visit the traditional market on Friday morning, take a canoe and follow the river through the town, have a drink on the cozy terrace of La Cascade, visit the old castle (once the enemy of our Chateau) or have an excellent dinner on the river opposite the castle .

For several years now, our shoes have followed the green line that winds for many kilometers through Nantes. And many of our guests have done the same. This line takes you past all the highlights of the city, from architecture and history to creativity, trendy shops and cozy terraces. From narrow alleys to sweeping views along the Loire. We won't reveal anything further, but this route is (literally) unmissable. In retrospect, hopefully you will agree with us that every city should have a green line.

Hopefully we can convince you to visit Puy du Fou if you stay here. Voted the best Theme Park in the world twice! And as former neighbors of Disneyland Paris, we know a thing or two about parks. This park will amaze you, leave you speechless. Only 40 km from our castle, a nice trip through the French countryside. At the Château we can explain to you how to get the most out of this park, so that you leave well prepared and come home with a big smile...we promise! You can already download the APP, which offers real time audio in your language during the shows.

We love the beach, love surfing and look for (and eat) wild oysters from the rocks. If we have some free time, you can also find us on the beach. Go early in the morning as most tourists arrive at the end of the day. If you want to learn to surf, we can recommend a good surfing school (also in English). Even if you've never done it before, it's just a great experience to take classes with your children. Take a knife and go hunting for oysters. Or just stroll along the endless beaches. Based on your taste, we can recommend the best spots, and parking is (almost) always free and close to the beach. We would like to hear the stories in the evening.

The island of Noirmoutier can only be reached via a modern bridge, or…. you can choose to take the “passage”. According to CCN, this road is in the top 10 most dangerous roads in the world. But don't worry, this is very overrated and completely safe if you follow the hours when the passage is open for passing, at low tide. When we drove it, it was surreal. The car's GPS makes it look like you are driving at the bottom of the ocean, but the truth is that this 4 km long road is dry when the tide is low (1.5 hours before to 1.5 hours after low tide). You won't be alone, and you can just park the car and take a walk at the bottom of the ocean.
