Bienvenue in our lovely chalet, located near the southern French town of Vacquières , in the small-scale holiday park Parc le Duc . A wonderful place to spend a holiday with the family or as a couple.
Chalet Gris is located in a beautiful area, with authentic villages surrounded by forests, mountains, vineyards and beautiful towns. The walking and cycling possibilities are endless here. Just like the typical southern French Saturday markets and the Sunday vide-greniers. And don't forget the beautiful beaches on the Mediterranean Sea and the spectacular gorges of the river d'Hèrault.
Be seduced by the tranquility, the beautiful nature, the pleasant sunny climate and enjoy the wonderful southern French atmosphere.
The chalet:
Our (4-person) chalet has been completely modernized, equipped with all amenities and a mix between vintage and new.
Spacious living room with patio doors to the garden, sitting area, dining area, WiFi and air conditioning (cold and warm for the cooler evenings), satellite TV (Dutch channels), fully equipped open kitchen with large refrigerator/freezer, hob, combination microwave and dishwasher .
Bedroom with double bed (160x200cm) and cupboard space, second bedroom with bunk bed (90x200cm) and cupboard space.
Bathroom with shower and sink, separate toilet .
The windows in all rooms are equipped with fly screens .
In the garden are the outdoor cupboards with washing machine , boiler and storage space.
The chalet is wonderfully sheltered in a large green garden (600 m2) with lots of privacy and several terraces where you can enjoy both the sun and the shade.
There are sunbeds and chairs with cushions, parasols, sun cloth, outdoor shower, hammock and there is also a private parking space on site.

Area:
There is much to see and do in the area surrounding the park/chalet.
You can go to many wineries for tastings. The wine region in the Languedoc is the largest in the world.
Visit the Mediterranean cities of Montpellier or Nimes (Pont du Gard), go swimming/canoeing in the Hérault or visit the beautiful beaches of Palavas les Flots or La Grande Motte.
You should certainly not miss the weekly (brocante) market in Sommières, and there are many beautiful southern French markets in the area (such as Uzès or Ganges).
Every weekend there is also a vide-grenier or puces (flea market) somewhere to browse around. Announcements for this are posted everywhere along the side of the road.
For the sporty hiker, the climb of the Pic St. Loup is a real challenge, with beautiful views as a reward.
Supermarkets can be found 10 minutes away from the park in, for example, Quissac (Lidl) or St. Mathieu de Treviers (Intermarché).
About the location:
By car: 1200 km from Utrecht, Route Soleil towards Metz/Nancy/Dijon/Lyon/Montpellier, exit 28, then about 20 minutes inland towards Parc le Duc.
By plane: via Schiphol (KLM) or Rotterdam The Hague Airport (Transavia) at Montpellier.
From Montpellier it is about a 20-minute drive to Parc le Duc, car rental is available at the airport.
