Saint-Rabier is located in the heart of the beautiful Dordogne. The village has only 500 residents and everything oozes the atmosphere of the French countryside. People are never in a hurry here and you can really enjoy the lovely nature homes. When you enter the village you will see an impressive memorial of the First and Second World War. Directly behind it is a maze of small alleys, with houses of honey coloured stones, a beautiful church and a medieval castle that is now used as a hotel. Exploring the area of Saint-Rabier

From your holiday home in Saint-Rabier you can explore the area in your own tine. Numerous cycling and walking routes have been set out in the rustic Dordogne countryside. Another way to explore the region is on a canoe trip on the river Vézère near Montignac.   • The distance from London to Saint-Rabier is 975 kilometres.
  • Typical regional delicacies are porcini mushrooms and confit made from pork, duck, goose and turkey.
  • Tip for a daytrip: visit one of the village markets in the area. There is a market every Tuesday in Thenon, on Thursday in Terrasson, on Friday in Lardin and on Saturday in Périgueux.
