  • ‘Keshi yená’ is a traditional Antillean dish: Edam cheese with stewed meat or chicken, raisins and herbs prepared in the oven. A delicious but filling dish.
  • The countryside of Curaçao is known as cunucu or ‘knoek’. The roofs of traditional cunucu houses was made from corn stalks.
  • Visit the historic country houses of Banda Abou, such as Daniël Country house. According to tradition it was founded in the 17th century by a castaway who washed up on Curaçao on the birthday of St. Daniel.
