Nature, culture and art in the mountains
Tyrol is mainly known for its splendid natural beauty, but of course, there’s plenty more to see and do. Take a
city trip to Lienz for example, a lovely old town with many medieval buildings, such as the Romanesque parochial church of Liebburg and Bruck Castle that dates back to the 13th century. The beautiful university city of Innsbruck is a must-see in your Tyrolean holiday, and one of the highlights is the Fürstenburg, a 15th-century castle with a famous balcony covered with a golden roof. Another highlight is the Swarovski Kristallwelten in Wattens, an enchanting world filled with crystal art and other creations.
