La Rubia

La Rubia is a spacious, detached holiday villa in a quiet village in the mountains of the La Serra Calderona protected nature reserve, just above the city of Valencia. The house has wide, covered terraces all around with an unobstructed and spectacular view over the campo and the mountains, the sea in the distance and the lights of the city in the evening. The villa is surrounded by a garden with seating areas, hammocks and large pine trees that provide shade. A sea breeze provides cooling in the summer, but be prepared: it has become considerably warmer in recent years. The swimming pool is open from mid-June to mid-September. The garden and balcony offer peace and privacy and colored skies.
The rural environment invites you to walk and (sports) cycle; You will find well-marked walking routes everywhere in the area; from easy to challenging. Brochures and maps available in the house.
There are four mountain bikes in the garden that you can use. Downstairs in the garage there is a table tennis table with bats and a shuffleboard table on the side terrace. There is a riding school within walking distance, from which you can take rides through the mountains. A half-hour drive takes you to the sea, the center of Valencia and the airport.

The upper floor has a spacious living room adjacent to the terrace, which has a large dining table with chairs. There is a ceiling fan, central heating, a large fireplace and plenty of firewood. In the living room a Samsung flat screen (with Chromecast for Netflix etc.) and a portable JBL. Fast WiFi, books and games available.
The kitchen is also spacious, adjacent to the terrace and is fully equipped with a new refrigerator, washing machine, stove with oven and extractor hood, Nespresso machine, citrus juicer, toaster, crockery and all cooking utensils. You can eat on various terraces, with beautiful views everywhere.

Four bedrooms with Ikea beds open onto a communal hallway with a completely renovated bathroom with toilet and walk-in shower at the end (towels provided).
Two bedrooms with a double box spring and spacious wardrobes and two bedrooms with two single beds. (Baby bed available). In each bedroom there is a wall fan with remote control and hinged wardrobes.

Downstairs a studio apartment with private entrance and a large terrace with beautiful views, on which a large table and chairs. The room is suitable for two people. Here is an Ikea 2 person box spring with mosquito net, cupboard, clothes rack, fan, and dining table with chairs. Your own equipped kitchen with refrigerator and washing machine and a modern bathroom. Kitchen linen, etc. available.
Please note: renting the studio on the top floor costs an additional 300 euros plus 50 euros cleaning costs. Always rent studio in consultation, because it may be occupied by the owner.

A stone's throw away, at the back of our villa, you will find a beautiful, spacious private club (not public). Here are two large swimming pools (lifeguards always present during opening hours), tennis courts, paddle court, football field and basketball court, which you as our guest can use for free. Downstairs in the garage you will find tennis rackets, balls, badminton, a power kite and beach mats.
Please note that the swimming pool is only open from mid-June to mid-September, but the club is open all year round, so you can always exercise. It is very quiet there - except in the middle of summer. There is a small bar/restaurant, where you can enjoy coffee, ice cream, drinks and a simple meal until midnight on weekends and in summer.

Valencia has the most hours of sunshine of all European cities! Summers around and above 30 degrees, but because we are high up, there is often a nice sea breeze. In spring, autumn and winter, Valencia is beautiful and wonderfully quiet and our villa has central heating and a large fireplace. There is a lot to see in the immediate area; beautiful walking routes from home, cycling and horse riding (riding school within walking distance) and in winter even skiing: more than an hour's drive from Naquera. The city of Valencia has a lot to offer: bustling markets, delicious food, beautiful, cheap museums and a varied nightlife. There is a well-maintained old and a hypermodern center and there are regular processions and special celebrations. In the summer, open-air concerts, films and parties in the parks and squares in and around the city.

Naquera is located in La Serra Calderona; an unspoilt and varied natural landscape. The village is small, but has everything you need and Betera (with more shops and a nice market) is 10 kilometers away and from there a metro runs to the city center and to the airport. A car certainly offers more convenience and possibilities; there are many interesting towns, sights and swimming facilities inland, many castles to visit and the beach covers the entire east coast.
