The still authentic Spanish village of Arroyomolinos is located in the center of the Spanish state of Extremadura. Finca el Rabilargo is located about 3 km from the village, in the middle of nature, in a quiet idyllic spot at the foot of the Sierra de Montánchez. Finca el Rabilargo has mainly focused on nature lovers, bird watchers and hikers and offers a perfect base to get to know the area.

There are two holiday homes for 4 persons each on the 2-hectare site. The main house has a dining room where breakfast and dinner are served on request, and the Dutch owners live upstairs. The complex runs entirely on solar energy and has its own well for water.

The cottages are fully furnished and equipped with Dutch beds. You have a living room / kitchen and two bedrooms, each with its own shower. At the house you have ample opportunities to sit outside, which is possible here almost all year round. There are also several terraces on the site.
From the cottages you have a beautiful view over the valley.

Finca el Rabilargo also includes a swimming pool.
We have a hide for lovers of bird photography. There are also opportunities for photography of stone martens and the genet cat.

Finca el Rabilargo is located in the middle of the nature of Extremadura. This area enjoys worldwide fame among bird watchers. Nowhere in Western and Southern Europe do birds of prey fly in greater density than here. The total number of species is also very large.
In addition, Extremadura is known for its grand landscapes that remind many of Africa. Mountains, large lakes, vast steppes and unique forests. The most characteristic, however, are the dehesas: meadows with holm oaks and cork oaks that give the landscape its typical atmosphere.

The summers here are warm, but outside you can enjoy moderate temperatures all year round. During a large part of the year, also in winter, the fields are in bloom with the peak in spring.

Given our specific target groups, we do not offer access to children and pets.

After spending years on holiday in Extremadura, we decided to start a new adventure here. We were able to buy an existing Casa Rural in a beautiful location. We now rent the houses to interested parties. Many of our guests are nature lovers, just like ourselves.
We have enjoyed living here since 2014. On request we prepare breakfast and dinner for our guests. We also provide birdwatching excursions.
