Surroundings & Activities Casa Pals is located almost in the middle of the Costa Brava, about 45 km east of the city of Girona and is therefore an ideal starting point for day trips. The spacious, touristy place is situated among the pine-wooded hills of Playa de Pals and has a small center with shops, cozy restaurants, a wide sandy beach and, for lovers, an 18-hole golf course. In addition, 6 kilometers from Casa Pals is also the Emporda Golf Resort (36 holes). The authentic center (El Pedró) of the village of Pals is 6 km away. inland and is definitely worth a visit! Take the time to visit the beautiful interior, visit the Dalí museum in Figueras and visit the ruins of Empuria in the north. Furthermore, a visit to the most beautiful part of the Costa Brava, the picturesque bays of Begur, Tamariu and Aiguablava can not be missed. If you still want to visit the big city, Barcelona is only 1 hour away! If you want to avoid city traffic, you can do very well with the train. Not far from Pals is Playa de Pals with a beautiful long and wide sandy beach, nice restaurants and shops, various water sports such as surfing and sailing and 7 golf courses within half an hour drive. In Playa de Pals, the beautiful 18-hole forest track and in Pals (4 km) the Golf Les Serres (18-holes). Furthermore, you will find numerous opportunities for successful day trips within a short distance. Like Pals (4 km) itself, a medieval village, known for its fortress wall with Romanesque Urentoren, the Gothic Sant Pere church and the lookout terrace "El Pedró" with a beautiful view of the Medas islands. The coastal route to Cabo de Sant Sebastià (17 km) is overwhelming with calas (bays) that are called the most beautiful of the Costa Brava. They lie between high cliffs, have golden beaches and crystal clear water. At the end of this route is the lighthouse from 1857, surrounded by wild cliffs. A nice day trip will take you to the ruins of Poblado Ibérico (Iberian village) in Ullastret (22 km), which recall the Greek occupation of this area around the 4th century BC. Drive past La Pera and visit the castle museum of Púbol, a gift from the artist Salvador Dalí to his wife Gala. End the day with Girona (37 km) and walk through the picturesque streets in the Jewish quarter and visit the Moorish baths, the monastery of Sant Pere de Galligants and the Gothic cathedral. What we would like to recommend is to visit the nature parks in the Pyrenees. The maritime park de L'Estartit has good diving schools and organizes trips to the Illes Medes.
