Casa Pilar

Welcome to Casa Pilar! This house is decorated with a wonderful vibe and equipped with every luxury and comfort.
This house is located at the back of our garden, but gives both you and us sufficient privacy. This means you have no insight into the house and the terrace and separate access.

Because sleeping well on holiday is very important, both bedrooms have a spacious bed (180x210) with wonderful top-quality mattresses and we have different models of pillows available! The bedrooms are also equipped with air conditioning, mosquito windows, (blackout) curtains & built-in wardrobes with plenty of storage space.

The 2 bathrooms are ensuite and each equipped with a toilet, spacious walk-in shower, sink with large mirror, hairdryer, sufficient storage space, soft towels & hand soap. The bathroom also has mosquito screens and underfloor heating. Wonderful to step out of the shower....

The dining room with open kitchen & cozy seating area is bright, beautifully decorated and offers a beautiful view of the valley. This room also has air conditioning and underfloor heating. The kitchen itself is equipped with all modern comforts, including a dishwasher, ceramic hobs, oven, large fridge and freezer, microwave, coffee maker for ground coffee, Nespresso machine, toaster, juicer, mixer...

The cupboards are filled with beautiful crockery, sufficient and various types of glasses and cutlery. The pots, pans and cooking utensils are of excellent quality.

We also provide standard oil, various spices, some dishwasher tablets, toilet paper, soaps, some coffee cups, sugar, tea, a bottle of water & a delicious aperitif with some snacks.

In the sitting area with large flat screen you can enjoy the channel offering of Tv Vlaanderen (also Dutch, English, French, German... channels). There is also a Chromecast & Netflix. The WiFi is of very good quality and super fast! The underfloor heating and the built-in (quiet) pallet stove make the winter months extra warm and cozy.

A washing machine, ironing board, iron, drying rack, vacuum cleaner and maintenance products are also available....
On the private terrace in front of the house you can enjoy the sun from morning to evening, you have NO insight, a beautiful and open view of the valley and here too the furnishings of the terrace exude the atmosphere of a holiday. .
Your private terrace is equipped with a dining table with 4 chairs, a lounge seating area, 2 sunbeds & an authentic Finnish hot tub! Pure luxury...

The swimming pool with sun loungers, the outdoor kitchen with BBQ (gas), sink, refrigerator,... the lounge, the garden with built-in trampoline, the outdoor shower and the separate outdoor toilet... can be used all year round. The hot tub can be used between mid-September and the end of June. In the summer months, lighting a fire in the region is prohibited due to fire risk (drought).

The 12m x 4.5m swimming pool has an automatic cover with solar cells so that the water heats up faster during the day and cools down less quickly at night. (the pool can also be heated on request and with supplement - request a few days in advance!)

The house is quietly located, yet close to everything! The old town is a 5' drive or 30' walk, the harbor is an 8' drive, the sandy beach 'Arenal' is a 12' drive
A car is recommended for shopping, excursions...


We also live on the property ourselves, together with our 3 (well-behaved) children. However, they go to school until 5 p.m., then have a sports club, etc... and we also work full-time during the day, so the outdoor facilities (swimming pool, outdoor kitchen, garden...) are used very little by ourselves, so you will certainly have sufficient privacy. & have peace and quiet during your holiday.


We have furnished the house with a lot of love and maintain it very well. Casa Pilar is a holiday home, not a party home!
Our sweet cat Merlot walks around freely on the property, so other pets are unfortunately excluded.
